Just like you did with Bush, eh?
I thank your kind every day for making it easy to keep hope alive for us all by trotting out the worst America has instead of winning most of the time like you could.
Who's next after Perry collapses? Christie sure ain't it..., Jeb? THANX!

It's his political advisors that are the problem. Obama hasn't even been listening to his economic advisors.

Valerie Jarrett is the only advisor who has his ear. Doesn't matter what anybody else tells him, he'll do what she says.

    Unlike Rove to Bush?
The 'anybody but Obama' silliness shows dramatically how low cons are willing to go and risk the country again, just to have power. Try putting America before partisanship, that crap is our doom.

    You are very correct, Smartmouthwoman

Even the people on the Left have come to this same conclusion!

That 'interview' sounds like a conservative's wet dream. Very little of it, apart from the polling data piece, sounds credible in the least.

I've read the whole insider report about what a slob Obama is and all that.

I'll say this: If that stuff is true, we don't really have a president.
I've thought for sometime that he wants the perks and fame, but not the responsibility and work that comes with the job

I still think Valerie Jarrett is the de facto prez.

Did y'all see his approval is down to 36% ?

I've been saying for months that his real base support is around 30-33%.

    I could have overestimated though.

The "Insider" is a Democrat. Sounds like the party is pretty much fractured if you think he's a conservative, eh?

It's not to have power, conBgone... it's to remove power from the hands of those who are destroying our country.

Anybody but Obama, baby. That will be the battle cry for the Nov '12 elections.

I know, scary for you libs, ain't it? Shoulda done a better job of finding a qualified candidate when you elected Barack. Our turn now. ;)

    Remember this-

    and this:

Who is in charge? Really in charge? Not HIM..
Jarrett runs it and it's all falling apart. HE's nothing more than an empty suit and a community organizer. HE can't lead.
It's falling apart and they know it, but they cover it up. Sorta.

I have contended from the beginning that Owebama is not calling any shots. It is my honest opinion that he is little more than a good speaker and quick on his feat in some sitguations, but hasn't a clue how to run a hot dog stand let alone a country. The stimulus package was proof positive of that.,..it was the typical mishmash of a program by committee, structured for the benefit of in place NGA's......the reason why it became the most wasteful program in the nation's history.

And Owebama's initial claims to its success, his slow way of backing away from those claims are typical of a boss who didn't understand the program in the first place.

I am not alone in thinking that there is very good reason why he is the only president ever to order all of his educational records seized....only one reason: he's dumber than Bush.

Good point, Trinn. Advisors can come & go, but it won't make any difference as long as Jarrett is there. Not that it matters... this info was made public, then swept under the rug 3 years ago. But since the Insider brought her up... let's refresh our memories on who she is, shall we?

This is from a blog site, but contains links you can follow to verify if you'd like.

Iranian of the Day: Valerie Jarrett Obama's closest aide is Shirazi

Jarrett is a member of African-American and Chicago royalty. But her story and her life begin in the Middle East, not the Midwest. She was born in 1956 in Shiraz, Iran, about 570 miles south of Tehran. Her parents moved to Shiraz, known for its poets, wine and flowers, as part of a program that sent American doctors and agricultural experts to developing countries to help jump-start their health and farming efforts. Her father was on the staff of the brand new Nemazee Hospital, where Jarrett was born. "Every memory from Iran is a very happy memory," Jarrett told me in an e-mail

Who the heck is she? She seems to be one of the many mysterious Middle Eastern campaign advisors Osama collects. However, the “happiest time” in Iran she is referring to is under the Shah, not under the Islamic Nutcase.

She’s not Iranian, she’s American and a former classmate of mine. She’s a old friend of Michelle O’s, and there’s a lot about her on the internet already.

From all that I can find on Valerie Jarrett, which isn’t much, she refers to herself as an American-Iranian. It is my understanding that she holds dual citizenship. While it is true there are many fine, outstanding Iranians; it is rather odd that she is touted as recently as Aug 28, 2008 in the official Iranian newspaper with just about the same article that you see here. You can go to this Iranian website http://www.payvand.com/news/08/aug/1295.html to read the article but I was receiving all sorts of warnings from my virus checker.

It is pure speculation on my part, but perhaps it wasn’t Sarah Palin that kept Hillary Clinton away from today’s rally on Iran.

And, no, you will find very little on the Internet about her. I know. I’ve tried.

    ###

Little did we know back then what a huge influence she would be on Barack Obama. I find it very disturbing.

November '12 can't get here soon enough.

Better be careful who you guys elect because this is going to be a close race.

You guys just wont give in and get behind the candidate who has the best chance at winning (Romney).

Newt wont inspire any Independents to vote for him. Neither will Perry or Cain. Ron Paul would, but he isnt going to win the primaries.

My personal predictions? Romney beats Obama. Obama beats Cain, Perry or Newt. Paul beats Obama.

So imo the odds are still in Baracks favor. Most of the big states still support the President. Its all about Ohio and Florida again. Maybe Pennsylvania.

Good news for the President....Ohio recently shot down Conservative legislation on Unions. The left is the more amped up party in that state. Pennsylvania however could be going to the Republican.

Either way, this is going to be a very close race I think. And I promise I am being 100% objective here.

I'll give you this much... you're much more objective than most liberals on this forum. :winner:

I happen to disagree that the odds are in Obama's favor. Mainly because I don't know a single, solitary person who says they'd vote for him... including those who voted for him in 2008. My own personal poll says ANYBODY BUT OBAMA and I agree. Whoever shakes out of the GOP lineup will get my vote. I don't have a problem with any of 'em.

By the term 'you guys' I take it you'll be voting for Obama... again?

Yeah ill be voting for him again.

You probably dont know anyone who will be voting for him again because you are in Texas. Im not hating on Texas or anything but clearly its going to vote Conservative. Most people I know out here in San Diego/California ARE happy with Obama and will be voting for him again.

So I think geographic location has a lot to do with it. Republicans HATE the guy and Liberals are pretty enamored with him.

I wouldn't say the odds are in his favor either. A bad economy is usually the stroke of death for an incumbent. BUT......According to most his foreign policy has been a success, he still has his base, he will dominate the African American vote once again, and I think with it being so close that the debates are going to be a pretty big deal, and depending on which Repub he is in there with, he could dominate those debates. He made McCain look pretty bad in 08 during the debates....And McCain dominated Romney in 08 during their debates.

If the economy gets any worse, then he is toast. If it stays where it is its a very tight race. If he gets dominated in the debates he is toast.

So he is definitely hanging on by a thin thread. The guy can talk though. All teleprompter jokes aside, he is a GREAT speaker, and he has an incredible campaign staff working with him. From a purely political standpoint I think he has a great chance of winning. Foreign policy wont hurt him at all and should actually help him since he can point to Iraq being over, DADT getting taken care of, killing Bin Laden etc. The economy is his biggest weakness, I happen to think its mostly still the Bush economy but the American public doesnt want to hear that. They need to hear ideas and then he has to illustrate them in a way that convinces people to give him another chance. That WILL NOT be easy to do.

The Right is united against him. I think we all know that. Liberals will vote for him despite some issues with him (like extending the Bush tax cuts, Afghanistan etc), he is going to have to pull in the majority of the Independent voters to win. He wont get enough of them if its Romney, but if its a more hardline Right winger I think the Independents will again gravitate towards Obama as opposed to them.

    Thats my theory anyways.

I have to agree that Owebama is the front runner, if for no other reason than he is the incumbent. You are right as well in that the economy could sink him, but add that I can't recall any president who won on foreign policy and more than a few who won in spite of it.

I dispute the fact that liberals are enamored with him. I think most are holding their nose and supporting him because any Republican alternative frightens them so much.

But all elections are won in the middle. His support there is soft and he has to be worried about that. Florida is NOT a given for him nor is Ohio and I'm pretty sure his narrow margin in Pennsylvania is shot. He has lost New England - hell they're trying to kick him off the ballot in New Hampshire.

Having said that, he still has the jewels of office, and his speaking ability. And I agree that a lot will depend on the debates, more so than past elections. Sadly, the entire Republican field is weak....and Romney cannot win.

    IMO

Obama loses Ohio, Penna and Virginia this time around.

He would lose Md except for the Baltimore area will get him through. not enough votes in northern and western D to change that.

I disagree with you on Romney. I think he is the Repub with the best chance of beating him. Most people know that despite what he says that he is more or less a moderate. Yet despite that, I think most Republicans, even on the far right....Even the Evangelicals will vote for him over Obama.

The Blue Dogs will give him some support. And the Independents are going to be split one way or the other.

Again, like we agree the debates are going to be a big deal this time around. Romney isnt a great debater from what I have seen, but he doesnt make too many mistakes either and he "looks Presidential" which is something that someone like Newt would have going against him.

I think it all comes down to Ohio to be perfectly honest. As an Obama supporter im worried about Pennsylvania, but Ohio once again is the state that decides it I think. From my standpoint I know the Unions are fired up there, which helps my cause.....But unemployment is still really bad there, which is good for the Republicans.

So its close. I think Romney with his business background swings some of the voters who think we need a businessman to turn the economy around. Cain or Newt or certainly not Perry are going to have the chops to actually beat Obama because they make too many political mistakes. Their "gaffes" will turn people off.

Im rooting for Obama, he is my guy, but I admit this is going to be VERY close and he may lose.

As a follow up to my last post.....The one thing going against Romney is he has been painted as a flip flopper. Most "experts" thought Kerry would beat Bush in 04 but the flip flopper label really hurt him.

Romney in many was is the Conservative Kerry, without the military background and also the swift boat ads to run against him (although watch out for some of the Utah Olympic stuff to come out in the general if he gets the nomination. I used to live in Utah and there was a lot of shadiness that went into getting the olympics there, and Romney I believe was in charge of running the show) but still the flipflopper label can kill a candidate.
