I said he did not know. I have no idea how much
study you think it takes to understand how a gasoline piston engine works. Actually I would expect someone to know that before getting a PhD.

So many people not understanding technology is part of the problem. Technology really runs this society not money. But ignorance gives the people with the money more power.

None of that is true. Stop watching propaganda.

    You are the problem.

I agree that people not understanding technology is an issue. I would add that I'm more concerned that people don't understand how science works.

But, gasoline engines are ancient technology. Why would THAT be better than if the kid studied rocketry, computer technology, astrophysics, and all sorts of other topics that have material for those of all ages?

You can easily check out each of my claims in that post.

But, I think you're happy just making claims that you can't substantiate.

Your reasons are wrong. If much poorer societies don't have this kind of problem, we know it has nothing to do with economics etc.

There are many societies in which our First World kind of homelessness barely exists. And yes, some of them are extremely poor, even by world standards. That's because the PEOPLE haven't failed.

Again, our homelessness has nothing to do with money or resources. It's a failure of PEOPLE.

I find it really strange how people compartmentalize knowledge. When I was a kid there was a company named Estes. They sold model rockets. They are still in business.

I was launching rockets around the same time as building model engines.

When you study machines you find that a lot of the physics repeats itself in slightly different ways. The problem is that so many people pretend that their area of expertise is so complicated.

Old science fiction is good for connecting dots.

But we aren't really going to do anything about the homeless.

Are people with real estate interests going to allow it? Bringing housing costs down is anathema. I couldn't live in my $300,000 house if the price went down to $120,000.

Yes. But, you were criticizing a person with a doctorate for not having picked the one of those that YOU liked.

But he owned a car. A white SUV. Do you suppose that he ever had to have it repaired a a mechanic could tell him bullshit.

I also said I thought he should have known that before getting a doctorate.

I do find it interesting that economists do not advocate for mandatory accounting in the schools. Double entry accounting is 700 years old. Older than gasoline engines.

You haven't made a single valid claim, and refuse to take responsibility for the mess you helped create.

You're a typical liberal - no common sense, no accountability, and the messes you make are somebody else's fault.

    You're typical in every way.
