Presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden has extended his vice-presidential search by as much as two weeks, intensifying the jockeying and lobbying between allies of the women who hope to join his White House. Even some longtime Biden allies worry the process has become “messier than it should be,” pitting women, especially Black women, against one another.

The dynamic threatens to undermine Biden’s effort to use the vice-presidential search to spotlight some of the party’s brightest female stars during the highly public vetting process. And it’s already providing President Trump’s campaign an opening to dig up dirt and launch attacks on potential rivals.

“It’s been relentless. It’s been unfortunate. But I must say it’s been predictable,” said Donna Brazile, a former interim chair of the Democratic National Committee. “It’s extremely disappointing, because many of these attacks . . . are being made by Democratic men who should know better.”

She strikes me as cynical, unprincipled and somehow sleazy, like some recurring character in House of Cards.

 

I think she will have a big smile on her face if she is selected.

 

Kamala Harris has a likability problem. She brings nothing to Biden that he didnt already have. She's just another swamp creature who has lied and screwed her way into politics.

I think that trying to pass herself off as an African-American when she is Jamaican-America is cultural ripoff. Her father is a Jamaican and her mother from India.

I don't know, that took many women by storm in the wake of the "me too" movement; Tammy being a woman, maybe she got a bit carried on. She wasn't the only one. I'm not sure if I hugely blame her for it.

Do you think that anybody who is extremely concerned about Benghazi will not already refuse to vote for ANY Dem candidate and wouldn't have voted for ANY Dem candidate even if Benghazi hadn't happened? Remember how everybody tried to drag Obama down due to Benghazi? Well, it didn't work, and the events were fresh, then. It's been 8 years.

Newsflash: Benghazi won't be a factor in 2020. No swing voter will vote based on Benghazi and those who obsess about it are already decided and wouldn't ever vote otherwise even without Benghazi. It's a non-issue for the election. I'm not implying that the death of four Americans is small potatoes. I'm just saying that FOR THE 2020 ELECTION it is a non issue,

 

Well, tell that to the committees that granted her all her medals.

And my point is, she didn't need to be piloting helicopters into a combat zone. She specifically learned to pilot helicopters because she WANTED to be in combat and that's a way for a woman to be in combat. Presumably that's not the only flight she participated in, always under the danger of taking enemy fire.

Oh, and by the way, I'm not a liberal. Like my stance against illegal immigration, spelled out in the very OP of this thread, confirms.

 

I think it's 15 minutes to edit the body of the post, not the title. I tried to edit like 1 minute after posting the thread, given that I immediately noticed the typo, but I didn't know how. All attempts to edit only allowed me to work on the body of the post, not the title. If there is a method, I'd like to learn it.

 

Doesn't change the fact that she's a liar. Almost no one knew that Iran and Suleimani were behind the attack and the stand down order came from Obama to protect his legacy ,,, his Iran deal.

No one knows that Andrew Cuomo set up the Great Recession in 1999 ,,, dealt the hand that Pelosi and Schumer played in 2007 to crash the economy. That doesn't mean I'm going to vote for Cuomo for dog catcher.

BTW. If people knew the fool Cuomo is, 7500 nursing home residents would be alive today.

 

I thought that at one time there was an edit function that allowed you to edit the title and I think that the function was in edit "other" options. I think that you still had to be in the thread creation mode.

She would be a good VP BUT, TBH, she brings nothing to the table as VP.

Biden will win California. So other than as an attack dog Harris offers few advantages.

Witmer or Demings would , I think, be better picks.

They would help in states Biden needs to win and Demings story, in particular, is very attractive.

 

I've said here and elsewhere, Cuomo deserves to be voted out for the nursing home fiasco, and others.

As for liars in politics, aren't them all? The current occupant of the Oval Office seems to be quite adept at that. His at one point campaign manager is the one who invented the expression "alternative facts." So, those in glass houses should not throw stones.
