I have seen some epsiodes. Some of them are funny. But here is what got Phil in trouble. We know the Duck family folks are religious and God fearing Christians. As an atheist I respect that every ep ends with the family at dinner praying, that is cool. The show does not hide the religion, but at same it really isn't in your face either. Now as Atheist who supports the side of the spectrum, I have an idea of what a religious bigot is, and the statements Phil made in GQ pretty much hit the talking points of a bigot. He slammed homosexuality, blacks and that if you don't make right by his interpretation of purity you are going to hell. The sad thing is Duck Dynasty shows Christians in a positive light, but much of the image is tarnished when one of those good Christians goes bad like Phil did in his article. Christians shouldn't be demanding for Phil to return to the show, but calling on him to apologize and ask forgiveness as he did for when he accepted Jesus for dying on the cross.
