I didn't understand why he didn't go in her is a lame duck, Hillary could have condemned the abuse of power taking the moral high ground and he could have ordered an invasion on the ground and air strikes. After 90 days Congress would have to maintain it once in getting out would be hard and a vote to non-support would mean risking the lives of our fighting men and women.

I would at least respect him for having a pair and just acting.

Congress shall have the power to declare war. Overstepping the executive's constitutional authority is absolutely grounds for impeachment.

Violating the constitution is a bipartisan position though (especially when it involves war), so nothing will happen even if he did go ahead without authorization.

But (as they learned with the Impeached One) the Democrats in the Senate would never, ever vote to remove him from office, even if he indulged in cannibalism of the fifty-yard-line of the Super Bowl. For a Democrat Senator to vote against a BLACK DEMOCRAT is total political suicide. So impeachment would be an empty gesture.

I think he did. If we go along the idea that this is to weaken Iran, then it worked. Syria has no chemical weapons now, and if the rebels use them, it's game over for them. This will prolong the war. This works for Syria in the long run, as they can win a long term war. But it's even better for Israel, as it means they won't have to worry about an attack from Syria. This ultimately works for the US and makes him the bigger man in this.
