if the wall fails then in 20years it wil be a tourist atraction

And here was the last stand of the Americans to stop the Latino Hordes, if you look south you see the empty lands of mexico with nothing but desert to the north the overcrowded country of the US with the immigrants now trying to escape to canada,

should pay itself back then really,
imagine the hordes of Chinese visiting to see this modern day great wall only to laugh at the silly Americans for making a cheap and poor copy of their wall because they refused to give adequate funding at the time to build a proper wall

I think the ACLU foresaw the law as a loophole to burst the immigration quotas and will use every dirty legal trick in the book to keep it from being changed

We are screwed because activists are going to bring a million refugees to Ametica as long as they can

10 years ago we democrats were pleading for billions of dollars to be spent on internal construction works, we we were telling the repubs that the investment in american jobs and the use of american products would be a boom to the economy, but now it is a waste, but meanwhile we have 6 miles 10 year old sidewalk in my town that nobody walks on.

I love the ACLU, just because some of the causes they fight for are not popular with me, the law is the law. Change it and the ACLU won't be effective.

The border wall isn't meant to keep out 100% of people. It's meant to better enforce border control. Do you believe the wall will allow more people in that are coming in now? Or will the wall make it more difficult for illegal aliens?

a giant border wall is at least something worth visiting, a sidewalk isn't
they should make the wall so you can walk on top of it with the idea of using it as a tourist attraction really

it pays itself back + millions of Chinese visitors every year kind of makes sure nobody can climb the wall with nobody around and if they do the Chinese will crowd around them for selfies and pictures of this strange Latino man = easy to grab and kick him back out

in this case you also kind of make sure nobody can smuggle drugs over the wall

I think the enemies of immigration control could mass 10,000 migratnts across an open section of the border - meaning no wall - and on a signal just rush across

I know, but total silence from the dems on something that they historically championed.

We're spending BILLIONS on border security.

The issue is how much more do we need - that is, what are we getting for our money.

Your "open border" stuff just identifies you as being CLUELESS. NOBODY wants open borders.

    NOBODY.

    Immigrants built this country.

They are bringing a serious work ethic along with skills we need.

I'm not in favor of open borders and I don't see borders as an expression of white supremacy.

However, Trump IS selling the wall with hatred for Hispanics. His every action and statement demonstrates that.

What we are NOT hearing is an explanation of how much improvement is going to come with spending $5 Billion of tax dollars on this wall. We KNOW how people come here - that about half come LEGALLY. We KNOW how drugs come here. We have significant border wall and fencing today while spending huge dollars on the wall. We KNOW there are ways to reduce the desire of these people to come here illegally.

It's VERY conservative and rational to ask what we're getting with our dollars.

I think that it is going to be interesting watching Trump supporters building a wall in the middle of the Rio grande delta

Try carrying a 30 ft ladder to the border. ($300-$500, any illegal can afford it and probably has one in their back pocket) Then... climb up. If you have never been on one, I assure you it's damn scary, as well as dangerous. Then you are on top of the wall. No ladder on the other side, so... you jump and die? Or tie a rope to the ladder and go down the rope. By the time you get that done, the border patrol will have had notice provided by motion detectors and probably time enough get there to cuff you at the bottom of the rope. Sure sounds easy to me.....

Except the border patrol is 100 miles away. A ladder can be made for ten bucks and stored all along the wall by coyotes.

    You are clueless

10 years ago you Dems got a trillion dollar “stimulus” bill...that drove up unemployment to double digits. What happened to those shovel ready jobs?

The shovel ready jobs are here. They just need immigrant labor to fill them.

I’m sure the border patrol will patrol for ladders. With of course proper funding...which the Dems refuse
