That would scare me too. But Trump does scare me. He's too much of a loose cannon and too clueless about the seriousness of his job, and it doesn't appear that anyone is keeping him under tight wrap. I would prefer that Mike Pence be the President.

Trump has made America the rogue nation.
Nice work, Donnie, but this isn't reality TV.

Yeah and not with Gen Mattis talking to him everyday. Then Gen Kelly.

Lets not forget that Mattis said he doesn't disagree with trump on N Korea.

Troll? You started the nonsense of what one does or does not know about the military to hide the fact that that you can't make a good argument.

The war in Iraq was classic shock and awe - it was over and won in a few days - the problem was Bush trying to nation build while using the US forces as an occupation force to support the "elected" government. What a joke - Bush had opportunity to stick his own bad guy in there to counter Iran and he failed.

Trump would never make such a stupid mistake.

Mattis was, without a doubt, the very best appointment to the cabinet that Trump made. General Kelly was also a very good choice. I am confident that matters of war and peace are in good hands.

Just spouting Rhetoric. President Obama stood up for America guiding this country thru pitfalls with careful and focused action.

Trump is a pompous, narcissistic, rude and stupid idiot who will only benefit himself at the expense of this already Great country.

Yeah there goes that idea that Trump will just go off half cocked. Still....here he has the MS Media running around and reporting on. What does he mean.

Which one thing is for certain.....Lil Kim is also thinking about what Trump said.

Currently there is One CSG in the region, the Reagan. There for some exercises with some Destroyers. Japans Aegis.

Just a hunch, but I think we'll see some kind of breakthrough regarding Kim's nuclear weapons program within 6 months, or we'll take action, one or the other. My hunch is that we will not take military action against Kim this year. And, I think we will continue to hear very strong warnings and threats up until that time. I think Trump is intentionally telegraphing the future to China and Russia in the faint hope that those two so-called "world powers" take care of this problem first.

Hint: All this "calm before the storm" talk is not going to result in warfare anywhere. Why do I say that with certainty?

We have not pulled our military dependents or civilian staff out of South Korea or Japan. Think about it.

All we're going to do is continue with the "cash register war" which employs nothing more lethal than SANCTIONS.... This whole thing has devolved down into a silly little central-banker's "Kabuki Dance", where people are supposed to be terrified by 'columns of figures'....

    Hint: bankers make piss-poor generals.

The people who invested in his atlantic city casinos were pretty sure he would not make stupid mistakes. The thing about stupid mistakes is that there are so many possible stupid mistakes that there is always the potential for people to avoid some stupid mustakes while coming up with their own different
    stupid mistakes

Decertify it, and it gives Congress 60 days to decide whether it wants to put nuke sanctions on Iran. Or not.

Tillerson has always been skeptical of the Iran Deal. As a matter of fact Tillerson back in April. Said Iran remained a global threat and he told Iran that we are reviewing that deal.

Last month he stated Iran was clearly in default of the deal.

If he breaks thru.....I think we will be going back and ending that war.

Like Scarlet Witch just said. Lil Kim is now going to fire off an ICBM that can hit the West Coast. Hopefully he is smart enough to not point it at the US, or say it will be of a certain distance from our Coast. Maybe the leftness will start to worry, knowing he can target anywhere in California he likes.

Many of these leftist are trying to get people to think Trump is reckless. Despite who is top people are. They might want to wake up and smell the coffee and look at why Trump seems so solemn about the issue.

Yeah, Kim is just stupid and crazy enough to do something like that. But what I meant when I said a breakthrough was something positive in the direction of bringing an end to the Kim regime or ending his nuclear program. But I doubt it. It's just a faint hope that I hold.

I don't understand a lot of people on this board. Many of them think we should simply place our destiny into the hands of Kim Jong-un and hope he doesn't destroy the U.S. someday. They project their own rationality onto him, but there is just absolutely no basis for that projection and faith. They remind me of Neville Chamberlain promising "peace in our time". And the other thing they do is recoil at Trump's warning's and threats towards NK. They seem to have no concept or understanding that if we are to avoid war, we must project a willingness to go to war. If we project weakness and vacillation, there can be no hope of bringing an end to this threat to our survival without war. It has never worked before with NK's leaders, and it has all been tried over what? 30 years? Kim just the other day explicitly threatened Japan - a peaceful, non-nuclear nation - with nuclear annihilation, and yet we have people here who think we should let him have his nukes. And yeah, it is just sad that people on our own west coast just want to stick their heads in the sand. And it's not just the west coast that Kim's going to be able to hit. His ICBM program is a work in progress, and eventually the entire U.S. will be at risk if we don't stop him now.

If I've misjudged Trump and Mattis, I'll admit it. But I don't think Kim's nuclear program is going to survive the Trump administration. If the sanctions don't work, and if China does nothing decisive, then we will act. I think our initial strike will use conventional weapons, and then the survival of NK will depend on Kim's response. If he opens up on Seoul like everyone always says he will, I think the U.S. will use one or two nuclear weapons for the first time since WW2, and NK will be finished. I do not believe the U.S. will make any effort to invade on the ground or occupy. When all of this happens the Chinese and Russians will sit and do nothing, something they are both very good at. I think they both know what's coming, and they may secretly welcome it. I don't think there is a lot of love lost between China and NK anyway. I am certain that the Chinese don't care about Kim. They just want a communist North, but it doesn't have to be Kim running the show.

What a disgrace to the Chinese and Russians ... The only parent in the room is going to have to deal with their evil little step-child.

I noticed some use the argument that Lil Kim needs nukes to protect N Korea. While arguing that China will defend N Korea at all cost. If such is the case, then N Korea and Lil Kim is protected whether he has nukes or not. So that argument just isn't one. Trying to use it as an excuse doesn't cut it.

He will brag some more if this next launch is successful. Then Trump Mattis, and McMasters will have a decision to make. As more than likely Lil Kim has acquired all he needs to keep his program going. So those Super Duper heavy duty, extra tuff sanctions won't be able to hinder Lil Kim. Nor prevent him from going forward with his plans.

Lets not forget that S Korea is held hostage by Lil Kim.

Everybody relax! This little skirmish of "fuss and feathers" is not going to involve anything but 'sanctions'. There's no chance of any hostilities until or unless Trump starts pulling American civilians, government officials, and military dependents out of South Korea and Japan.

Until then, understand that this whole "NK" nuclear thing is just an exercise in blather and bullshit, scripted by international central bankers. The 'net-net' of this whole exercise in pathetic stupidity is that when the dust settles (a year or two from now), China, North Korea, and, to an extent, Russia, will totally control ALL of East Asia and that region of the Pacific Ocean.

North Korea will have a complete supply of thermonuclear hydrogen bombs and fleets of ICBM's that can put them right on your backyard barbeque, anytime they like. South Korea will eventually be annexed by North Korea. Japan will become a 'vassal state' of China, the 'unified' Korea, and Russia within five years. The U. S. projection of power in that entire part of the world will wither and fade away.

The 'take-away' lesson? Bankers make piss-poor generals....

What? Am I talking to a machine?

Obama apologized on behalf of America, his wife said that she's never liked America until Obama was President, Obama traded 5 terrorist leaders for a traitor, and he blamed terrorism on youtube videos.

    Troll elsewhere

Is that so? Is that why you still refuse to cite the video interviews of the soldiers in his platoon? His platoon leader? How do they feel about this "hero" (as you are making him out to be. When in fact he's a traitor to this country), leaving his post and his men getting SHOT looking for him? Did aliens take over his body and force him to sneak off post?

You make no argument. It's really pathetic actually.

I don't think N. Korea or Iran they are losing a lot of sleep, like Bannon said it is all bluster and they know it. China and Russia have made it abundantly clear that if the U.S.
fires first, they are all in. If the N.Koreans do, then they will evaluate at that time. Iran will continue the Nuclear deal with the E.U , China & Russia and isolate the U.S.
So no one is losing sleep except for South Koreans, Japanese and citizen of Guam who will be in the direct line of fire should this escalate further.
