But the poll didn't ask by each issue, it asked what party (D, R, I) and what political leaning (conservative, liberal, moderate). The poll implies party affiliation means less about a persons true political alliance than it used to, maybe that there are really 4 parties - R's are split into conservative and moderate wings, D's are split into liberal and moderate wings (but the moderate wings in each party are probably not the same).

 

Still waiting for some explanation on why you believe that there are African Americans visiting 'their villages' in Africa and bringing back Ebola.

Whether that statement comes from ignorance or racism, I don't know.

 

Considering that the only Americans who have 'brought' Ebola back from Africa are white....and that very, very few African Americans ever even go to Africa that false statement just seems intended to inflame racial fear.

The purpose of polls is to gain insight into peoples attitudes, and not just on their answers to direct questions but to gain insight into the strength of their attitudes and possible shifts in attitude. Its shallow to take things at face value when you can learn so much more with a little thought.

 

Have you ever studied statistics and designing polls? I have. Companies like Gallop and Pew base their reputation upon producing accurate data. It's pretty easy for me to differentiate between polls that use sound methodology and those that are trying to shape the answers received.

 

So I am curious as to how you would rate the Fox polls.

I grew up,with a dad who was a big wheel in media research in the advertising business. He used to enjoy sitting with us kids and analyzing polls and polling data and discussing biases in the way questions were phrased. Fox definitely does use loaded words and phrasing to get the results they want.

 

The only black person who's a threat to this country is Barack Obama. And he's only half black.

Islamic terrorists are the biggest threat to America. And thanks to Barack Obama, they may be streaming across the border as we speak. Then hopping on a govt funded bus and spread out all over America.
