Eisenhower did not unify the country, there were many people who did not like his direction. Reagan betrayed his Leftwing base of California and also allowed illegals to remain in the U.S. both as governor of California and as POTUS. "W" also did not unify the country, even after the events of 11 September 2001. From day one, he received criticism after criticism, especially after he initiated WOT. There has NEVER been a POTUS who unified this country. It wasn't done after Pearl Harbor, it was not done after 11 September 2001, it was not done after Tonkin Gulf, it was not done after the initiation of the Spanish American War (Remember the Maine). It is impossible for a POTUS to unite the entire country, there are too many people with different ideas on how this country should be run.

I think he's doing a good job so far (not the greatest). But if I had to choose one shortcoming it'd for sure be the tweets.

That certainly explains why you accept that everything outside Fox is fake news. You get to make up your own realities and definitions.

Outside of Fox is fake? Who says that I watch Fox News? Your response is exactly why I say that those of you on the Left, e.g. Leftists, Liberals, Progressives, Communists, Marxists are an actual danger to anyone's society. Before you find out whether or not I actually watch Fox News or any "news" channel for that matter, you automatically assume that I watch Fox News because I like President Trump. tsk tsk! More over, you did not actually refute what I posted in Post # 75.

Every time an attack is made on Trump then the Trump camp should bring up Hillary and company. If all the negatives and positives were added up between the 2 I believe Trump would come up with much less illegal activity.

If they were buddies then he wouldn't support sanctions on Russia which he will. The unifying outside influence has to be devastating before people will unite and work together. The Russian BS is not worth any action by the American people together it only divides them.

Respect, for starters. Say what you will about Ronald Reagan, he respected the other side and often complimented individual Democrats. He never called them the "Democrat party". Reagan was a gentleman, something Trump knows nothing about. I blame his upbringing. His dad was a real cretin, I understand.

I'm not sure you heard but, HillBill lost and faded into oblivion. She also got vetted and ripped to shreds before becoming a Senator, a Presidential candidate (twice), and a Secretary or state....probably nothing left to find.

This is only a Progressive talking point promoted to excuse Democrats for a poorly run election and a horrible candidate. It is hypocritical to imply Trump has any special dealings with Russia. For years it has been widely known fact that Progressives tend to excuse Russia because it closely simulates the "Big Government" they desire and work toward achieving. Progressive government under BHO backed down from putting a defensive missle system in the Ukraine and turned their backs while Russia violated that country. They also were responsible for American uranium sales to that country. When your Russian Collusion narrative runs out watch out!..... You leftists don't have anything left except your personal ideology.

Call them what they are: deplorable. I would have used different language but Ms. Clinton is nicer than me, I guess.

The only thing I see that could be a substantial shortcoming, is his not being "Presidential" enough.

Of course there seems to be a Pandora's Box fulla definitions of Presidential, & 3 or 4 Hope Chests full of "Excusable" contradictions.

I should add, this applies across the board, & is a clear, glaring reminder of what a useless farce we have allowed our System to become.

I was disappointed that he went along with appointing special counsel. Once he flexed his muscle and removed the nut job, he should maintained a hard line stance. Trump needs to push Wrays appointment through. Mueller is digging his own grave, and Trump needs an FBI director who's not "tainted" or elsewise adverse to oversight.

That's because they haven't come up with a bill that enough legislators can support. The problem with Republicans these days is they can't get over their political agenda. It is the most important thing to them, more important than the security and prosperity of America. We can thank the teayouknowwhaters for electing more ideologues like that. Mitch McConnell, that joke of a "leader", who always looks like he is sucking a lemon, won't put up any bill for a vote if it is sure to be voted down. He doesn't want to look bad. But poor leadership is worse.

trump is very good at making noise. He has done so very little and yet, he makes a lot of noise about how wonderful he is. He's a disaster, inept, incompetent, lies constantly, embarrasses himself daily and seems to be a traitor.

Its the last that I cannot forgive or even explain. Its not just the obvious playing footsie with Russia. Its that he trash talks the US every single day. And if that's not bad enough, he goes to other countries and lies and trashes the US.

Will he ever actually work FOR the US?

    I doubt it.

I see a term filled with newbie mistakes being made, at a time we would do well to limit them.

Its not as though anyone is making this up.

Trump himself has trashed the US since Day One.

    Unforgivable.

Affordable health care for all Americans - That was a lie. Just as it has been a lie from the Republicans for all 7+ years.

    No excuse.

He still has not hired most of his people and has the gall to blame Dems for that. Why doesn't he hire knowledgeable people and then listen to them?

Because, as he has said, he knows everything.

We've all seen that he actually knows nothing at all.
