There is so much talk from conservatives about lowering high taxes (taxed enough already party) and liberals on raising taxes to pay for things. So let's take an unscientific poll about FEDERAL INCOME TAX only, which is the tax that everyone seems to want to cut or raise. After all the deductions and so forth, what you actually pay is not what the tax rate is. So what is the effective tax rate actually paid by political forum members. (tax paid \ gross income *100)
I'm in the 33% group. With my federal tax rate, FICA, Medicare, California state tax and California unemployment/disability tax, I receive about 45% of my gross.
Just for information: Italian tax rates are out of scale, with reference tho this poll. I do envy US citizens!
