ROFL on what basis? It was so bad so screwed up it didn't even get out of committees. And of course like her stint at State she worked to the system to avoid any oversight of the government committee of which she was put in charge.

Why is it that as long as someone has a "TRUE understanding" or they talk about something lot or can point out the problems but can't solve them and fall flat on their faces when they do the left praises them so?

She couldn't even muster enough Democrat votes and even with Mitchel trying to fix it they couldn't even get it up for a vote.

Oh I left out the "make people aware" being such a GREAT accomplishment to those on the left. I got news for you, WE ALL KNEW IT ALREADY. She was there to come up with something to FIX IT.

 

I know some, along with some reporters, got pretty sick when the wandered into some of the hidden chemical cache's Saddam was storing his precursor chemicals, proscribed and undeclared along with the new chemical weapons shells to use the nerve gases he would have produced in a matter of weeks once the sanctions were lifted.

There was no deception and the threat Saddam posed was proven with all the proscibed materials and activities we found . As the Clinton administration had stated he would remain a WMD threat as long as he remained in power.

For the record…. I admit that President George W. Bush was indeed too close with Big Business…… this is a metaphorical "fly in the ointment" but…………… I personally have read too much material over the years that indicates that his decision to invade Iraq, may well have been worth it……. because I do believe that President Saddam Hussein was obviously attempting to obtain nuclear weapons……. and Saddam might well have been willing to use them on Israel.

For one thing……. Russia got ahead of the USA in at least one area. Amazingly small dirty nuclear weapons not a whole lot larger than a softball.

When the Soviet Union collapses, Russian scientists and officials were desperate for American dollars and Saddam had billions.

The testimonies of several Iraqi nuclear physicists indicate that Saddam wanted a nuclear weapon or two or three……..

…. the situation at the time of America's invasion of Iraq was such that it probably seemed like too great of a risk to allow Saddam the freedom to keep on trying his best to develop or purchase a nuclear weapon.

......I would love to be wrong….. but my own personal opinion is that high level American officials…… feel that there is far less danger in the average American feeling that President Bush was wrong and incompetent…….. as opposed to let them KNOW….. .about how much danger they really had been in?!

American teenagers can build a workable atomic bomb...... minus the fissionable material for a school science or spare time project...... then how could a world leader as wealthy as Saddam......... fail to obtain many types of WMD's if he hired intelligent and capable people to obtain those devices??????!

This is almost certainly true.............. but that doesn't mean that the concern over Saddam developing WMD's was not quite real.

When certain threats are marketed to the American people.............. the whole thing is packaged and put in a form that they will buy.......... and what isn't made public is even more important in many ways than what is made known.
