I will look it over. Many here are simply playing dumb and obfuscating. I don't have to regard abject nonsense.

yes, please do. If it's obvious to you it should be no problem to substantiate the fact. One must have understanding that other people might not consider it obvious what you consider obvious. Thank you :)

Exactly!!!! The same people who claim rich are evil and then govt can solve everything support a govt that gets paid off by the people they hate. HELLO!!!! Hate thenpoliticans allowing themselves to be manipulated. They don't have to take the bribes. They don't have to listen to them. Its one of the many reasons liberals can be a$$ backwards most of the time.

Concentrating an increasing size of a pie is not the same as concentrating wealth with a status quo pie or shrinking pie.

Wealth "concentration" with an increasing size of a pie merely improves our Standard of living; it may do what you claim with a status quo pie or a shrinking pie.

There is a guy who writes to my local paper who cracks me up. According to him, corporations that provide our goods and services are the freeloaders, not the people on disability and public benefits. His defense of social security can be funny. The guy apparently does not realize that employers contribute as much as employees or that for a few years, even more than the employees contributed themselves.

I got to tell you. I completely misunderstand the disdain for those that benefit from someone actually succeeding in giving their children more than what they started out with.

I completely misunderstand those who claim that rich kids who inherited their money deserve our respect because "rich people earn their wealth".

thanks for making my point. Ignorance and gullibility of progressives protect and expand the wealth at the top. You probably even think the inherotance tax is anti wealth gap.

I didn't say you had to overly respect them. I am just saying that your unwarranted condemnation wreaks of envy.

The claim was made that rich people deserve their privileges because "they earned them".

I was pointing out that the murdering (*)(*)(*)(*)stick here in Texas did NOTHING to earn his wealth or privileges.

The wealth was earned. The willful transfer of the wealth from the earner to someone else doesn't change the fact that the wealth was earned.

This is another example of poor people blaming everything on the wealthy, hating the wealthy for nothing more than jealousy and demanding everything the poor people want to be handed to them on a silver platter.

The wealth wasn't earned by the person receiving the privilege. He did nothing to earn the privilege he received.

Really we'd just like to see the wealthy not literally be able to get away with murder just because they have money. There is supposed to be equal protection under the law.

    Example:

Poor guy holds up a liquor store and steals a couple hundred bucks. He does ten years in high security "don't drop the soap" prison.

Rich guy steals millions of dollars through insider trading or other white collar crimes and he does a couple years in the Club Med prison edition.

Poor person commits negligent homicide, they go to prison.

Rich corporation commits negligent homicide, it gets fined less than what it made on the products that killed people to begin with and no one goes to jail.

It's bull(*)(*)(*)(*). The rich are trying their damnedest to turn us into an aristocracy. Give it few years and CEO will be replaced by Duke.

Huh? How does that refute the assumption that the wealth was earned? The beneficiary of the privilege is of no consequence if the wealth was accumulated and transferred justly.

It is laughable how many non-wealthy conservatives on this forum and in this country adamantly defend the rich.

The rich hate you. They don't care about you. They buy your politicians to sell you a dream that one day you can be rich too. LOL, the joke is on you.

Wow you people really do want other people's money badly. Maybe if you spent more time thinking how to make it rather than take it? The incentive to invest, to create jobs is not just one of a single lifetime. Many people want to see their children better off than they are and make sacrifies to achieve that... such as investing.

You villify the rich to gain political favor for policies that inhibit upward mobility. I am not defending the rich so much as attacking your ignorance on economic policy. I am upper middle class, yet progressive law makers lump me in and affect my ability to accrue wealth negatively to a much greater degree than the true wealthy they wish to demonize. This not only protects the wealthy from competition, but also allows them to support both sides of the aisle. Your proggressive politicians donor list illustrates this point aptly.

    - - - Updated - - -

Your repeated reference of an anecdotal incidence does not do anything for a debate on principles.

You can play the way you must... but there is a limit to how much 'I' will play the role of "instructor". You should have your limits also; even where it concerns trying to compel me to 'play' as you see fit.

Hmmm...so if you're not a 1%er, you're just a loser. Nope, no signs of class warfare from this conservative.
