I have a 10 year old crappy nokia that ive been using to this day but now i feel like its time to enter the 21st century. And to do that i need your help. I have absolutely no idea what kind of smartphone i should buy, ive never followed this stuff and i know nothing about it. All i know is that i want one. So which one would you recommend and why? Im not necessarily interested in the most expensive ones (although if thats the recommendation then i suppose that wont be problem) But it doesnt have to be the cheapest one either.
I've had really good luck with the Samsung line of phones. I've had the Galaxy, the Galaxy II and the Note. I've played with the Galaxy III. All are excellent phones and are tough. I have yet to damage the screen on any of them because of the Gorilla glass. I highly recommend you get a phone with gorilla glass. I know at least a dozen people who have broken their screens. None of them had gorilla glass. Which carrier do you use?
I have a Razr Maxx and it (*)(*)(*)(*)ing rocks. Very fast and 15 hours of battery life when watching videos.
Don't do it! It's a trick! I have friends with Droids/iPhones, and there is absolutely nothing "smart" about it. In fact, having observed these friends over time, I have concluded that these phones should instead be called Dumbphones. Sadly, my friends first lost the ability to have a phone conversation, but even more troubling seem to now be incapable of personal conversation as well. When sitting on the balcony, one friend is unable to step to the entrance to speak to his GF, and vice versa, rather, they communicate via some weird poorly written text language. It's frightening! Oh, and just to add... they contribute to terribly rude behavior. On a good (very rare) afternoon, when I think a short personal conversation is possible with one of them, it is constantly interrupted by the other with the weird text language back and forth. Apparently there is no way to disconnect or otherwise turn these Dumbphones off either!
Get this one. It's the smartest choice. Then you can actually pay attention to the world around you when you leave your home!
Granny says, "Dat's right - Ubuntu comes to smartphones... Ubuntu operating system comes to Android smartphones 2 January 2013 - Ubuntu will be able to power smartphones in addition to PCs and set top television boxes
NSA...NRA...it's becoming clear now... I like Samsung too, mine has Ice Cream sandwiches or something...seems to work..
There's no practical reason to buy it unless you don't own a home computer and plan on using your smartphone as your only internet service - the service rates are high and most of the features are just 'bells and whistles' - you'd save a lot more using a "crappy nokia". People by smartphones for the same reason rich people buy Mercedes - you don't have to spend $100,000 on a car except for the 'luxury' or 'trendy' aspect.
