She had such a prominent seat in the audience, sitting next to the nominee at the end. And she was the only one who I saw from any previous administration. She's obviously going to have a prominent role in the Romney Administration, and I'm thrilled about that. What will it be?

She is a Republican and has previously held high positions.

Yeah, she was Secretary of State. Is that the current plan, to put her back in that position? I'm thinking more like chief of staff.

I have always gotten the impression that Condi is more of a 'doer' than a politician. Chief of Staff is a very political position. After being Secretary of State, I doubt there is much Romney has to offer her other than as an unofficial foreign affairs advisor- of which I think she would be very good.

I've seen speeches from her recently that have been very political, so I'll have to disagree on that. Whatever position she ends up with though must be equal to or higher than Secretary of State, and that doesn't appear to leave much.

I see Condi Rice as a top-adviser to a Romney administration in a high cabinet position. I do not see her in the Sec. of State slot.

    I think you nailed it.
romney has been running away from bush the failure, for good reason, or at least he says he is. His campaign staff is basically bush the failures west wing staff.
Putting a loser like rice front and center.....kiss of death.
She has the stench of bush the failure all over her and it will never wash off.
I will give her this much, no one can give 'stink eye' quite like condi 'exxon' rice.

She is there because she is speaking tonight. She is speaking tonight because she is a woman. Women admire her and Romney hopes she will help him with the gender gap. If she were a man with ties to the Bush administration she would not be there. None are. She will not be part of any Romney administration or run for anything. She wants to be commissioner of the NFL.

Interesting to know that you have insider information. Where did you obtain that information...a bathroom stall?

No I didn't. I'm a learned individual. As to the bathroom stall I do admit to seeing, in Memphis during the Bush years, a phone number purporting to be hers if that's any help to you.

And what exactly was the "Bush failure"? The failure to stop Reid and Pelosi and a Democrat controlled Congress from increasing the deficits TEN FOLD?

Everything about bush was and is a failure. He defined for the next 50 years what failure means for a President.
Nothing about the long dark bush years can be considered anything but a failure.
