Do you have a greatest fear? Playing on it, and inflicting endless pain, is a biological sign of strong survival skills, and is attributed to leadership ability (biologically). It is even sexy for many. When directed against you, the interrogation will convince you to nominate a "3rd party" friend for that pain prepared for you, instead of yourself, so converting it into mental pain. The most effective way to maintain leadership above you, biologically. This is the law of the creation. But now, let's be brave, and enter the gates of Hell. You have revisited the bully/interrogator/teacher/spirit, and now you are killed. You will not find what/who you were looking for at this place even though they may be here, and you are still under the manipulation of the bully/interrogator/teacher/spirit. What would be your next step that you would plan to do here in Hell? Is it feasible to pose the philosophical question, how accurate the classification that is described in the Bible can be, for any fate to result in Hell or to result in Heaven? Can this decision between the end products of Hell and Heaven be infinitely accurate? And can these 2 fates depend on both the subject and the subject's environment? If yes, then will the above weigh your "3rd party" friend towards more to Hell or more to Heaven? And what if you yourself also are a "3rd party" friend of someone else who gave you into the pain for the same reason? It would be so interesting to know what guidance the Bible gives about this generic route of life. What do you think will happen?
Read "Mein Kampf" Hitler wasn't a Christian in fact he dispised Christians and Christianity. Why atheists continue to posit the lie that Hitler was a Christian I will never know. If Hitler had any religion it was that odd ball ersatz paganism he created to replace Christianity. Ghandi was the foremost hypocrite in the world prior to 1960. A Pacifist who throughout most of his career went out of his way to start fights with the very great intent of losing them to gain sympathy from the British Public by not fighting back. it was a idea that he well knew would only work against the British as the Soviets, or the Nazis, or for that matter the French under most of their rulers in the last fifty years would have just killed him and hid the body.
What would you do as a visitor in Hell? I would have a good laugh at all the Christians in Hell because of their life of hypocrisy and misrepresenting God. I would yell "you are really good at preaching but not so good at practicing LOL! But at least I am not bitter...
Look for a way out? Pray that i'm just there temporarily? Why do you think there is torture? There's a big difference between torment and torture. Torment is regret. Torment is being forever separated from the Light of God.
If that's true then are people in torment now? If not, then why would they be when they're dead? And if they are in torment now why should it matter when they're dead?
why are they in torment? be specific. I'm sure people are in torment for bad choices, bad decisions. Whose decisions were they. not God's. They are our own. Are you tormented? Why are these peoples' torment of concern to you?
You defined torment as: "Torment is being forever separated from the Light of God." So, are people separated from the light of God now? If they are why should it then matter when they are dead? The situation would be the same. If they are not then why should it matter when they are dead? What would they be missing when they are dead that's worse (or better) than they didn't have when they were alive? Do you think you will gain a lot of new emotions and capabilities once you're dead? Do you really think that you become more alive and aware once you're dead?
oh alright. Are they separated right now. yes. Their choice. Does it matter if they're dead? Ask them. Does it matter to you if you're dead. It's no big deal to God. You're only here for a little time. Death is a bigger deal to us than it is to God. It's coming. One way or the other. i'm not sure what you're doing here?
So you think that you can hold conversations with the dead. Have any of them ever told you anything that's been useful to you?
Didn't you tell me to talk to the dead? So that must mean that you think that people can in fact hold conversations with the dead. Therefore, it's only logical to ask you if the dead have ever told you anything useful. The Bible has a lot of stories about people having conversations with the dead. I thought you believed in the Bible. Now are you saying that people can't hold conversations with the dead even though the Bible, which you profess to believe, says that people can?
When I was a child my father died and I spoke often with him after he was dead. In this way it it became for me much more easy to live without him. Love is indeed a bridge between death and life. It was absolutelly normal for me to speak with him - I always thought everyone is able to do so. I was very astonished when I heard the first time that it is impossible to do so. http://youtu.be/bVLFkizgE44
Really? Where's written in the bible that someone spoke with someone else who was dead? Is there a concrete example? http://youtu.be/IVwCOO0PYZA
This is such an interesting question. Even some animals inflict it on others, willfully. The epistole of Romans and the book of Revelations state that we live in a falling universe, that is in the process of decay, and that the entire world is subjected to turture, externally imposed. Is it reasonable to speculate, that it is within this framework, that no matter what we are doing/willing, we must always cause torture, including to the ones we like/love? Maybe, that torment is a consequence of us observing the torture that we cause as a group or as individuals. We suffer none (no torment) when we don't know what we do, until after our death. Is this because our place in hell must be stable?
