I'm looking through all my likes/dislikes right now, and it's just amazing what everyone thinks of some of the stuff I posted. Some I don't even care about, and just voiced what I thought, but others I'm surprised what they thought about what I said. So what I want to know, what post are you proud of and why? I think my proudest post is when I say "May their souls rest in peace. May whatever god they believe in look after their souls." People seem to forget people died, and it's me trying to remember that they existed.
It also just made me realize something. I miss a lot of people I consider my friends. Those that left because they were banned or decided PF wasn't a good place. I really would like to see them again.
The exodus of the Ron Paul supporters after the primary and election lowered the IQ of this forum dramatically. There used to be a lot of really useful and enlightening threads about the Federal Reserve, among other things, where I could learn some things from people who invested most of their time researching in areas that I did not. Now it's mostly threads like "Should white people feel guilty?" and Trayvon idiocy. Kid stuff.
I can't think of any posts I'm proud of. But I have a few that I'm ashamed of. Self-control goes along way on a forum.
Yeah I've had those days too. - - - Updated - - - I know, it seems much more tame then before the election. Like the right never quite got over the shock of losing.
If "the right" is what you want to call Romney supporters. I'm not sure why they were so shocked. I could top about a billion threads right now where myself and plenty of others were telling them that Romney was completely unelectable, going back to before Iowa.
And I loved it. There isn't a single thing today that's different in this country that would have changed under Romney, except we would be hearing a lot more war propaganda against Iran, more involved in Syria, and wouldn't have had to hear as much about Zimmerman. Watching the politically-ignorant that Fox News lead by the nose have a massive meltdown was worth every penny.
Yeah, I've got a couple of those. After my grandmother passed away I was angry and took it out on a few people here. Not something I'm proud of. As far as my favorite post goes, I'm not really sure. That's something that I'll have to think on.
I'm proudest of posts where I've connected some dots, and am able to offer sort-of original insights--original to me, at least. This would be an example: http://www.politicalforum.com/polit...lanning-ground-war-iran-6.html#post1062902706 And I think this was a goodie: http://www.politicalforum.com/curre...ve-pay-check-pay-check-16.html#post1062824664
I tell the best-ever joke, right there on page 1 of a thread that gets closed down it's so popular, and don't get a single like! It's like WTF that was funny so click on like! Then I'll say some really stupid joke, where even I'm like c'mon that was LAME... And it gets like five likes and I'm like WTF that wasn't even funny! That's probably just because I'm a bit out of touch. Same thing with my threads. I make the most kick-ass threads that are insightful and topical, and they fall right out the bottom.. Complete and total duds. Then I make one about something pointless, and I get like 2, maybe even 3 responses! I just don't understand other people. I think that's my problem.
This is my proudest post here: http://www.politicalforum.com/latest-us-world-news/304288-obama-admits-he-violates-constitution.html It's number 1, the op. I dismantled Obama's pathetic, most hypocritical speech ever. This is the very reason the president won't ever answer anything but soft-ball questions. I actually pinpointed the moments where Obama actually ADMITS that he's not fully convinced his policies are legal or even constitutional!!! As far as I know, nobody else in the world even noticed that. Probably because you love Obama so you cling to his every word, or you are like the normal people who can't handle listening to all these dishonest platitudes. I have to go off the transcript but even that is painful. I post the link here to solicit additional likes and/or comments. The sound bites are the proof that's in the pudding. They are there and highlighted, so check it out! http://www.politicalforum.com/latest-us-world-news/304288-obama-admits-he-violates-constitution.html
Every once in awhile, I get a like for a post I made last year, It's kinda strange lol! I always wanted to have a mod write the title "Official PF Photographer" under my name
Did you pm and ask? Maybe they could hook you up. But don't be the official "photographer".. You aren't a photographer. Or you might be, but not here. You are a photo mangler. Or photo butcher. Whichever you prefer. Which, incidentally, takes a LOT of talent. You should be proud. Photography is merely point and press a button. Photo desecration where you pervert them well beyond their original context, takes both skill and creativity. You should be proud. I tried it. Do you remember when there was that thread there was a deceased old Palestinian lady that you thought was a terrorist, and all these terrorists were kneeling around her? I tried to swop the body with a picture of the nativity scene. So it would have looked like all these Arabic terrorists with guns were kneeling down around Jesus in a manger. I should have outsourced the project to you.
Well, I assumed everyone here knew I wasn't REALLY photographing anything lol - I guess if I was to be totally honest, I would be the official PF Photoshopper - although I like photobutcher! In fact, you DID outsource a pic to me once - it had something to do with the NRA chief somewhere.
WHAT?!?!??! Here I've been sending Obama hate mail about how dare he eat children on live TV, and how dare he choose ketchup over mayonaise when doing so, and you're telling me that wasn't a genuine, original photograph?!!??! grrrr! Photobutcher is better if only because it doesn't hold the tiny ambiguity that photoshopper does (like they might think you're browsing on www stores to add to your cart some images that have already been mutilated and deformed). You must be perfectly clear that it is you who is perpetuating these pictorial distortions. Plus it avoids advertising for a commercial enterprise. I might have more assignments later, as I'm not figuring out these darn programs I got.. I got "Gimp" and "Paint.net" but they are annoying to learn.. I've just been making original pics from scratch using windows paint. Obviously, they can only amount to cartoons.
