Agreed, though we should get a voucher to do so.

no vouchers, just a tax write off of what you put in

it's taxpayer funded if you get vouchers, why would you want Atheists and other religions supporting Christian schools

    http://rationalrevolution.net/articles/history_of_the_separation_of_chu.htm

"When a religion is good, I conceive it will support itself; and when it does not support itself, and God does not take care to support it so that its professors are obliged to call for help of the civil power, 'tis a sign, I apprehend, of its being a bad one.
    - Benjamin Franklin: in letter to Richard Price, October 9, 1780"

That doesn't make sense. I pay taxes that support public schools. If I send my child to a private school, I'm now paying double for school. How would a voucher system be forcing anyone else to support a Christian school?

and your kids can use the public schools too, you can't take from the public schools, but like I said, you should be able to get back what you put in... no more then that - your asking to get free money, I am saying you should not have to pay the public school tax if you go to private schools

So, I have to just keep paying double? Seems a bit unfair, lol. A tax deduction is not getting your money back.

Which prayers do they want and why are they needed in school anyway, schools, public schools, are places of academia not religious faith.

    .

    God did bless America.

But Americans turned their backs on God and His commandments by embracing blasphemy, evil and perversion.

God is now cursing America with punishment.

Israel repeatedly did the same thing in OT Bible history.

God told Israel if they obeyed Him they would be blessed... but if they sinfully rebelled they would be cursed [ Leviticus 26 & Deuteronomy 28]

    From Isaiah 1:

Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth: for the LORD hath spoken, I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against Me.

The ox knoweth his owner, and the ass his master's crib: but Israel doth not know, My people doth not consider.

Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the LORD, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward.

Why should ye be stricken any more? You will revolt more and more: the whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint.

    **

Your country is desolate, your cities are burned with fire: your land, strangers devour it in your presence, and it is desolate, as overthrown by strangers.

    **

Except the LORD of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, and we should have been like unto Gomorrah.

Hear the word of the LORD, you rulers of Sodom; give ear unto the law of our God, you people of Gomorrah.

The part where you said "write it off".

A tax deduction is only worth a fraction of the amount you're deducting, at whatever marginal rate you're at. And why would you shift local funding and transform that into a federal deduction?

exactly, Sunday School, Church and Family is where you think Parents would go for religious teachings

the truth though is they want to force their religion on non-Christians, it's not their children they want educated on their religion by the public school system

And that is all religion is, is it not, just indoctrination. No connection to the reality, just endless repetition until one can think no other way. For those indoctrinated from before they can even walk or talk, turning away is all but impossible, the later one is first exposed, the more rational and mature one is before first expose, the less religious one is likely to become. Religion only propagates through the indoctrination of children from a very young age. There is a reason that more intelligent a person is, the less likely that person is to fall for religion.

It is actually the crux of the problem. Christians want absolutism. I don’t think Christianity holds up very well with alternative ideas floating around. Especially real ideas that don’t require “belief” to have any validity.

It seems to me that they want a Christian nation. The first George Bush said that he thought atheists should be denied citizenship. Seems to me that the Republican Party, like all organized criminals, are highly religious. Just like the Mafia, and the South American drug cartels. It is as if takes religion to absolve one’s feelings of guilt from doing very bad things to other people.

You cannot categorize all Christians into one belief. Moral absolutism is entirely different from moral objectivism.

But I'd be glad to critique your take on "Christianity" as it holds up to alternative ideas. Do tell.

Oh, the belief that morals are subjective is indeed a "belief". Be careful what you criticize, lest you criticize yourself unwittingly.

Well, according to the left, god doesn't exist, and according to the right, America no longer exists, so maybe there is some common ground there. Anyway, I don't get offended by that. We southerners have our own ways to tell people to piss off that sometimes can be taken in opposite ways.

If you got the time I suggest you take a look at my post "The Democrat's Communist Manifesto" that clearly shows and defines just how much today's Democrat Party mimics all phases of Marx's organized criminally infested communism. You say all organized criminals (including Republicans) are highly religious. That is probably the most inane and stupid thing I've read at this forum. Your obvious negative take on religion tells me that you're either an atheist or agnostic....which in turn prompts me quote Karl Marx one again: Marx said, " Communism begins where atheism begins." So I find it reassuring that Republicans prefer to have a Christian nation over that of a Democrat led Communist nation. Would you agree with that INO?

oh, I agree, there are many good Christians out there that believe what they believe and couldn't care less what others believe... as they believe each makes their own choices

the problem is when the ones that do believe their God will get angry at us for others not believing, so they pass laws to force people to believe what they believe

Say what? We say that GOD will get angry at people for not believing, and we pass laws that force people to believe what we believe?
Who exactly are saying that and what laws are being passed to enforce our beliefs on others?
