A cool weekend in the US in July belies AGW.

Normally July is a big month for the purveyors of AGW. Any incidence of 90+ is trumpeted by the media as evidence of Global Warming. Normally the Warmers take a beating in cold winter months.

 

Its not just been the US over the last 12 months either.

Of course arctic ice extent is way way more a representation of wind direction than it is temperature, southerly winds and the ice is broken up and pushed south where it melts, northerly winds and it is compacted and gets thicker, but warmmongers don't like to talk about that.

 

Yes very selective stuff. I notice the first item. Coldest day in Sydney. Three months early the National Weather Service had to introduce a new color to thermal maps, because the whole continent was experiencing record high temperatures

You don't live in Texas do ya, nice and warm here and we are in our tenth year of drought. A couple of cool days does not mean global warming is not happening.

 

A good skeptic does not rely on the media for information about current scientific theory

 

The Earth has been considerably warmer over recent millenia than it is today. There are certain high profile scientists promoting this scam that should be up on fraud charges by now in my view.

You are right and thats why I dont. I wasnt presenting my links as evidence of anything other than the global variability of weather often used by alarmists to buttress thier views when it suits yet discarded and ignored when it doesnt

 

You cannot say there is no global warming then turn around and say there is. You seem to be confused between Global Warming and Manmade Global Warming, I never mentioned the later topic and they are seperate topics.

 

Please prove that mankind is responsible for the current warming phase given it started long before we could ever have influenced it. Until theres some kind of empirical evidence pointing at this current phase being somehow unnatural then its all just so much hot air .... pardon the pun.

 

You seem confused, where did I say mankind is a cause? Can mankind affect the climate, I am sure he can, we have proven it on land and in the oceans. I am more of mind to where we do as little or no harm as possible and where possible correct some of the damage we have caused, we are caretakers not owners of the planet, leave it better than you found it where possible.
Gobal warming is a FACT, whether it is mankinds fault in part really makes no difference if we are doing the best we can, are we?

 

What happens happens just like it always has and always will. This guilt ridden anal gazing we are being programmed to engage in serves no purpose other than the emptying our wallets for the sole benefit of those promoting it.

Uh, there's tons of evidence. There are thousands and thousands of papers showing the evidence. It's like asking for evidence that fire is hot while you're standing in the middle of one. You don't actually want evidence, because there's tons of it, and you're still pretending there isn't.

There is no absolute proof in science. If you want certainty, go to church. What we do have is a mountain of evidence that cannot be explained in any other way. If you can explain it otherwise, please feel free to do so, as a Nobel Prize certainly awaits.

Currently (1 pm CDT, August 4) it's 96 in Phoenix and 94 in Dallas. Please provide a link to a media story claiming these temperatures have anything to do with global warming. Or admit that you're just making stuff up.

 

Dont let me stop you providing some then ? This entire panic only exists because of climate modelling and the vested interests of those promoting it. Here is why as a consequence of those shonky models its all just nonsense.
