I am neither white nor African American. Jews make up about 2% of USA Population. Indeed even though White Supremacy has become much more covert, it is still there. In USA 2020, anti-Semitism is also very unpopular, but the danger is always there.
What I like about Republicans is their commitment to Freedom. Now they are Libertarian-Right. I disagree with them on many issues, but at least they are against the Evil of Totalitarianism. Modern Democrats are Totalitarian-Left. I agree with them on guns and Welfare, but I oppose the Evil of Totalitarianism. Old Democrats and Nazis were Totalitarian Right.
Democrats moved from Totalitarian Right to Totalitarian Left. Republicans moved from Libertarian Left to Libertarian Right.
Until recently. These days Trumpist Republicans have abandoned all vestiges of libertarianism and have gone (in terms of this map) Totalitarian Right.
What an incredibly ignorant post. Libertarians did not vote for Trump. Libertarians are not and will not be Trump supporters. Do you even know what a Libertarian is?
I'm a libertarian. I didn't vote for Trump. You just posted me saying that, under Trump, Republicans have abandoned all vestiges of libertarianism. They used to try to appeal to libertarianism. They threw that away completely when they became the party of Trump, as I've said many times before. Not really sure what you are disagreeing with. I specifically said that Trumpianism has taken Republicans to the Totalitarian Right side, away from the Libertarian side. Try again. This time read what I actually said. You are "disagreeing" with me while repeating my points.
No. The GOP haven't been a party of predominantly Libertarians for longer than you an I have been alive. Just stop with that I hate Trump crap. It's tiresome and a bit childish.
The only thing I said about Trump here was that he's anti-libertarian . . . which is the exact same thing you said. Have you tried actually reading the thread? It helps. Literacy! It's awesome!
If you can identify any position of mine that is anti-libertarian, feel free to do so. Meanwhile, so far you have ranted against me for holding the same position that you supposedly have about Trump being anti-libertarian. When I said Trump was anti-libertarian, you ranted that I was wrong and that Trump is actually . . . anti-libertarian . . . the exact same thing I said. When I pointed out you hadn't actually read my posts, you claimed it was immature to call Trump anti-libertarian . . . despite you supposedly making that same claim yourself. Sort yourself out, then get back to me. If you want to talk about libertarianism, then be prepared to actually talk about it instead of throwing out lazy schoolyard insults. I won't hold my breath, but I'll be here actually willing to discuss libertarianism should you ever decide your are capable of rising to the occasion.
A link to where this came from would be good so we all had more context I mean this looks like it has come from the Boogaloo boyz handbook most political compasses look like this
After the last launch I saw a FB post... Congrats to the astronauts who left earth today, good choice!
Perhaps what we're all getting out of this thread is the fact that trying to reduce one's political philosophy to simple, composited 'squares' within some kind of all-enveloping quadrant is flawed at best, and BULLSHIT at worst.... Which 'pigeon hole' should I really be in? I'm very liberal-Left on a lot of "social issues" (let 'em smoke dope, let 'em have abortions, let 'em fail, or succeed, or whatever, and be free). I'm also rock-solid Conservative on all issues dealing with the safety, security and best interests of citizen-taxpayers of the United States of America -- particularly, our ECONOMY! So... which little bullshit 'square' should I be ensconced in...?
I do not think so. In USA 2020, the Left has many many more ways to censor and punish people for their opinions then the Right.
There's more to totalitarianism than just censorship. Nor is it totalitarian for PRIVATE entities to make their own publishing decisions, which is likely what you are referring to. Trump has repeatedly (even before becoming president) tried to abuse our legal system to actually silence free speech. He's failed because he simply has no grasp of he First Amendment, but he has certainly tried.
Not only that but thousands of people are losing their careers for slightest disagreement with the Left. We are living in a Totalitarian Leftist Society.
You are, again, talking about the actions of private entities, not the government. They have the right to fire people. I would think a libertarian would support that right, even if they disagree with the execution.
I oppose firing and blacklisting people for political opinion (except genuine Hate Speech). I believe there should be an anti-discrimination legislation which prevents such abuse. As long as people are afraid to voice their legitimate Political Opinions, we live under Tyranny.
My tests usually come out centre left, but I'll be as right wing as I need to be to fight the communist scum
I sympathize with you, and that's part of what I dislike about these "maps". A person might have some strikingly liberal viewpoints on some topics, but be an arch-Conservative on others. Where do we put that person's 'dot' on some vaguely thrown-together "map"...? . "The best part is that an 'insider' think-tank PAYS me to do this...."
