Depends upon what part of the USA you live in.

Where I live, men are men, but then I live in an area with a lot of military.

And its easy to tell the men from the boys. The men are confident, they look you in the eye, smile or nod or greet you, they stand up straight and walk with purpose. They hold the door open, provide help when its needed. Basically, men are not afraid of people.

The boys typically avoid eye contact, when a man is approaching them the boys often fiddle and pretend to be busy just to avoid contact.

But I already gave you that definition. I also thought I explained to you why those terms really aren't all that effective with human beings. Every combat soldier in the army or the Marines is an alpha, but they are more than willing to sacrifice social dominance in the name of getting the job done.

BTW if there is a real man at your party he won't have to tell you. You'll know by how he treats others and how he carries himself.Real men don't have to make others appear smaller than they are nor do they have to hog all the credit. That's how I knew Obama wasn't an alpha.

Right here and all over. From my perspective, all the good girls are taken and, if I felt like it, I might issue the same complaints in turn. I would be wrong to do so, though. Truth is, I just don't look that hard. It's also not easy to meet the best potential partners. They're probably not at the bar or on a (free) dating site. I feel that it's just tough in general when we're generally so socally isolated, wrapped in our metal and electronic cocoons.

Not true at all. People look for different qualities in a partner. Generally if you are involved in things you value or like to do...you'll automatically meet like minded people.
