Since Russ Feingold let the cat out the bag stated by TheResister; Which guns should gun owners stock up on before the 2016 election results?
All of them? Seriously anything that can be deemed high capacity or a so called assault weapon. The critical issue will be magazines.
Yep, you're right. If this a Klinton sweep, they will go after everything and try to do so quickly with everything they have. Look for something like the NY SAFE Act but even more onerous.
Okay, I admit that I haven't been a member of this site for very long, but I believe I have already detected a pattern across forums and threads; the liberals have a consistent habit of making statements like this without any source. Is it just my imagination?
No, you are correct in your analysis, Thomas Jefferson also made various similar statements, so did most of the other important Politicians of the day, However, Gun Control Advocates want to rewrite our history to seem Anti-Gun or at least not Pro-Gun. "1785 August 19 (Jefferson to Peter Carr). "As to the species of exercise, I advise the gun. While this gives a moderate exercise to the body, it gives boldness, enterprize, and independance to the mind. Games played with the ball and others of that nature, are too violent for the body and stamp no character on the mind. Let your gun therefore be the constant companion of your walks."
The Complete series of GEICO insurance ads use that "It's what they do" as their main Advertisement pitch line.
the problem gun haters have is this if they claim that the stuff they push is truly motivated by a desire to control crime, they often look like fools because much of what they push doesn't even pass the smell test. Like banning people from being able to own machine guns made after 5/19/86 when there was no evidence whatsoever that legally owned machine guns have been used in any violent crimes for decades. yet most of them aren't even honest as to what their true motivations are-which is to attack the NRA and pro gun voters. That's why so many anti gun posters snarl about the NRA and almost never about violent armed criminals
http://www.mountvernon.org/digital-encyclopedia/article/spurious-quotations/ We await your apologies.
what is funny is that the anti gun movement cannot find ANY support of its anti gun views in ANYTHING the founders ACTUALLY said
and its gun restrictionists who post these lies 1) all they want are "common sense gun laws" 2) there are no legitimate reasons for citizens to own the same self defensive weapons that civilian police departments use 3) Registration will stop criminals even though criminals cannot be punished for failing to register weapons On top of that, Gun banners pretend that the second amendment does not recognize an individual right to keep and bear arms they pretend that the second amendment was supposed to be something that the legislature can limit the fact is the gun restrictionist movement is based on lies and dishonesty
Nice deflection. I'm ex-Army. The above is not my fight. I just don't like people spreading lies, regardless of their politics.
what does being ex army have to do with anything. I am retired Federal law enforcement and I am a constitutional scholar and I don't see you taking to task the many lies that come from the anti gun posters.
Interesting, Ex-Army, never heard anyone that served in any branch of the Armed Forces refer to themselves as Ex, unless they were dishonorably discharged. - - - Updated - - - Also, you do not read very well, I quoted Thomas Jefferson, not George Washington, yet you lumped me together with other quotes.
LOL. Whatever, armchair soldier. I say "ex-Army" because it is concise. I quoted you because you supported the other poster's baseless attack on a poster who correctly noted that the Washington quote was false. Your Jefferson quote is accurate.
America is not going to ban all guns anymore than Australia did But if they were smart they would simply put a tax on each gun
Ex Army? BCD or Chapter child? Never heard this term unless it had a negative ending. Most say I am a veteran or they say I served. Most say it with some pride.
