Certainly did. They closed off Penn. Ave with barricades that are still there.

60 Secret Service personnel were injured during the last riots at the WH. So, yeah, it was not enough. They should have shot some of the rioters; that would discourage a repeat performance.

I also find it interesting that the Secret Service is on the frontlines facing protesters... I would think they would be a 2nd line defense, inside any perimeter set up, behind the actual police....

DC Metro Police have no jurisdiction near the White House. The Park Police have jurisdiction in Lafayette Park and the other parks and interestingly enough, in the numerous traffic circles in DC.

Given how trump has put gasoline on the flames, who can blame him for getting scared and hiding in his bunker?

Wrong. Bush was in Florida and wanted to return to the White House right away but Cheney told him to stay away in case of attack, but he went back to the White House by the afternoon and spoke to the country that evening from the Oval Office.
The coward trump ran to hide in his bunker instead.

They want people to die. They rationalize looting and rioting so it's no surprise. It would make for great news and they could try to spin it against Trump. They don't care about the actual issue. It's more about their political agenda. It's not like they are an actual news agency.

Trump is right to be afraid. He is right to be very afraid. He is right to hide in his hovel.

Obama sat on his hands. He was lazy. From your own favorite network since you probably won't believe an actual news network.

Most say race relations worsened under Obama, poll finds

The survey results come as an increasing number say discrimination against blacks is a very serious problem and concerns about bias in the criminal justice system remain widespread.
Overall, 54% say relations between blacks and whites have gotten worse since Obama became president, including 57% of whites and 40% of blacks. That's up sharply compared with last June, when 43% said things had gotten worse shortly after a racially motivated shooting at a black church in Charleston, South Carolina.
A similar share, 52%, say the criminal justice system in the US favors whites over blacks, while 36% say it treats blacks and whites equally, down 6 points since February 2015.

5 Ways America Changed During the Obama Years
Obama's job approval rating tended to fare better than that of Congress, as typically is the case when comparing the president to the Congress. But Obama's average approval rating over his two terms ranks among the lowest in Gallup history.

Though Obama often spoke of bipartisanship, the president was a highly polarizing figure. The difference in his job approval rating among Democrats and Republicans is the largest in Gallup polling history. This is the continuation of an in-progress trend; Obama's immediate predecessor, George W. Bush, was also the most polarizing president ever when he left office.

Just imagine the reaction from the trump wing, if all of these protesters were carrying AK-47s. LOL!

Trump would be dropping paratroopers on the WH lawn.

Translation: Imagine how the trump wing would react, if the anti-trumper's acted like the trump wing.

Trump goes to his bunker. Obama leads a peaceful march. This is the difference between Presidential style.
