You went off on an IRRELEVANT TANGENT that FAILED to refute anything at all in the OP!

The only mention of Abolition by the author were these statements.

He CONCEDES the point about the role of Christianity during abolition and then USES it to point at the STARK DIFFERENCE when it came to DESEGREGATION that you IGNORED because you could NOT refute it.

The rest of your uninformed babble does NOT address the POINT that he is making about hyper-individualized salvation because you DELIBERATELY cherry picked a quote and then nefariously used it OUT OF CONTEXT.

When you read the ENTIRE quote it NEGATES your BOGUS allegation.

The part in red above is what you DELIBERATELY omitted in order to craft your utterly BOGUS allegation. It EXPLAINS how and WHY it was NECESSARY that the concept of salvation became hyper-individualized.

So are you satisfied now that I have wasted more of my time EXPLICITLY proving that you FAILED to provide any sources that support your UNINFORMED opinion?

Um.... a little less impressed now. You have moved from Jesus telling you that he was on the side of the BLM to quoting something written in a book hundreds of years ago (you aren't even using the original Aramaic which was written thousands of years ago). Unfortunately the quote did not mention BLM. You PRESUME your interpretation of the passage is consistent with God's intent, and use that PRESUMPTION to pick the mote out of other believer's eyes.

From what I know of the Bible (which isn't much), Jesus was not interested in political power, he was interested in salvation. From what I know of BLM, they are DEEPLY interested in political power and have little if any interest in spreading the ministry of Christ (indeed they seem rather intent on destroying Christianity). I am doubtful that Jesus would be down with churches dedicated to him being burned.

Thank you... there is no 'Christian Church Colossus' in America -- and that's part of what our Founding Fathers wanted to make sure we never allowed to take over here in the guise of a 'national religion'! That's why they made our First Amendment their first order of business, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion...." They remembered the bloody, tyrannical installation of "The Church of England" all too well!

No, here in the U. S., we've got more flavors of Christian religion than Heinz' famous "57 Varieties". Try to imagine two organizations that are more different from each other than, say, the Eastern Orthodox Church and the Pentecostal or "original" Baptist churches!

That is the main reason why I kept saying, over and over, that in order even to have a RATIONAL discussion about "White Supremacy" and Christianity, one must (MUST) look at what is actually written (WRITTEN) in the Holy Bible.

And in no part of the Bible, no matter what 'translation' into English one uses, is there any mention of, or support for, the concept or practice of "White Supremacy".

I uphold your right to your OPINION but it does not alter the FACT that Jesus was on the side of the OPPRESSED and BLM are protesting their OPPRESSION.

Until you can PROVE that Jesus was on the side of the OPPRESSORS there is nothing further to discuss since I have already provided what is considered to be the primary legitimate source of his own words on the matter.

From what I know of the Bible, the reward for the oppressed was in Heaven, the punishment for the oppressors was in Hell. I simply can't find the passages where Jesus exhorts his followers to grab political power or to even to resist the political power of their enemies. I am looking forward to your passages demonstrating that.

    Matthew 5:38
    Mark 12:17
    Ephesians 6:5
    James 4
    Mark 12:41
From what I know of Christian theology (very little), the message of salvation is this: what is a lifetime of political power compared to an eternity of bliss/agony? Christians should therefor be working to save the eternal souls of the oppressed rather than attempting to give them power that will only last until they die. But again, I could be totally wrong on all of this theology and look forward to your passages demonstrating where I fell off the beam.

I also brought up the fact less white churches participated in civil rights movement and demonstrated the reason was the same as many black churches. It had nothing to do with racism. To claim such is to claim the black church was White supremacists during the civil rights era as well. Are you claiming that?

Your red text is irrelevant. Individual salvation through Christ alone is a biblical concept. It’s from Jesus’s own words. Any commentary attributing such ideas on salvation to white supremacy is false. Period.

Do you want references and concede you are ignorant of the salvation doctrine?

NONE of the above NEGATES that Jesus is on the side of the oppressed which means that he is on the side of the BLM protesters.

FTR the Ephesians quote is NOT a quote from Jesus himself. It is part of the Paulism dogma that was abused to support white supremacy as noted by the author in the OP.

Of course my posts negate what you post because what you’ve posted isn’t backed up by anything but the author’s opinion. Your argument is equivalent to claiming the Bible is true because the Bible says it’s true. You’ve provided no evidence his claims are true. You found some of his buddies that vouch for him, but that is not evidence he’s right.

And your guy makes claims about doctrine that are false. Why would you believe a guy that lies about the most central tenet of Christianity—salvation?

I welcome you to provide evidence outside of this man’s opinion.

Now you are just FLAILING because you cannot negate anything that I posted EXPOSING your baseless and UNSUBSTANTIATED allegations.

    Sad!

I love you Derideo_Te. You argue what the Bible says without quoting from it. So basically we are left to rely on what you think the Bible says and use that as argument.

Now for your argument. I won't use the Bible, since apparently what is says is completely irrelevant to you. Do you think Jesus sees America only or the entire world? Are you aware that the BLM protesters are in the top 5% (at worst) to top 0.01% in socio-economic status compared to the world population? What do you think Jesus thinks of people who are in the to 5% who fight for more economic resources for themselves and have no care for the 95% beneath them (who are now beginning to die of starvation due to Covid restrictions).

When I see the man below, I see oppression and misery:
    upload_2020-8-3_10-57-43.png

When I see the protesters below, I see a bunch of people whose material needs are completely taken care of..... so much so that they can protest for months at a time without fear of missing a meal. I wonder what Jesus thinks when he looks at the man above and then casts his eyes towards the protesters below.

I’m not the one incapable of making an argument. You are. Provide actual historical and biblical evidence this dude is correct. Don’t use him as your source.

I'm a Republican. By virtue of that I have been part of the solution for 155 years. The question is whether Democrats are willing to own up to their history and pay reparations to the slaves they held hundreds of years ago and, by virtue of the Johnson transformation of slavery to its economic rendition, the blacks they still hold as slaves today.

There is no way Christianity is a “ white supremacy” inspired religion, because the icon image of Jesus would be clean shaved and bald headed with some kind of tattoo on the forehead

I dunno, AOC said that the priest who founded the leper colony for the Hawaiian Isands is a big part of the white supremacy problem. I guess the guy got leprosy himself and died in the colony but he was white and a supremacist interfering with leper lives. It's so deeply ingrained and universal that we can't see it when we see it right in front of us.:) But if we were properly indoctrinated at university we could see it easily.:roflol:

Yet another patently absurd FALSEHOOD all you have left?

    http://politicalforum.com/index.php...researcher-says.576071/page-6#post-1071921778

Looks like you are WRONG but I doubt that you will ADMIT to being wrong because you do you instead.

Did it ever occur to you that Jesus can be on the side of BOTH groups?

Having compassion for those who are hungry does NOT mean that it is impossible to have compassion for those who are OPPRESSED.

Do I have to provide you with bible quotes proving that Jesus had compassion for children and sick people too?

Sad that you had to INVENT a BIZARRE binary version of Jesus to suit your transparent agenda.

So your latest position is that there is ZERO historical evidence of the involvement of White American Christians in the KKK?

    Seriously?

That level of DESPERATION is PALPABLE!

What do you call a fascist?
    The President who let assault weapons walk across the southern border in an attempt to have American bodies justify the repeal of Americans' 2nd Amendment right to self defense?;
The President who weaponized the IRS against his opponents with audits and other forms of harassment?
The President who had the IRS slow walk applications for raising funds to support free speech he didn't agree with?
The President who unleashes the NSA to spy on American citizens, sent his NSA Director to Congress to lie about it, and exiled anyone who blew the whistle on his crimes and lies?
The President who ordered the investigation of James Rosen who reported news he didn't like?
The President who ordered the high tech assassination of American Citizen, Anwar al-Awlaki, on suspicion of crimes, redefining due process?
The President who assassinated Anwar al-Awlaki's American Citizen son 2 weeks later?
The President who gave a stand down order that allowed Iran and Suleimani to murder an Ambassador and his detail in order to protect his legacy of paying a ransom to Iran and giving Iran billions to put the mullahs on a path to a nuclear weapon?
The President who refused to leave the White House peacefully; the President who weaponized the US intelligence agencies and those of our allies to infiltrate and frame the campaign of a candidate of the opposing party.
The Fascist President, Ruler for Life of the Banana Republic of Obamaland, earned his fascist designation by amassing the worst record before the Supreme Court since Zachary Taylor and likely the worst ever for a full term President.

Thanks for the opportunity to teach you the history of fascism in the White House. We snuffed it out this time, but must remain vigilant to prevent its return.

You can try and find where I’ve said that and quote me. Or you can try and defend the errors I’ve pointed out by your author. :)

Bizarre that you IMAGINE fascism where is does NOT exist but cannot RECOGNIZE it where is DOES exist.
