It's gonna take LOTS of 'TP' to wipe up the effluent spewed by liberal lefties in this thread. I'm outta here....The poop is rising above my boots.

It's amusing how our leftist friends keep harping on the demise of the TP. If they only realized how powerful the movement already is, they wouldn't be able to sleep for the nightmares.

Here, let me see if I can help push 'em over the edge. ;)

I've said it before and I'll say it again; as long as the Tea Party has any influence over the republican party, the democrats will be a shoo-in for the Presidential election in 2016. I do suspect that republican party leaders, recognizing this will render the Tea Party irrelevant as the Reform Party has become at least on a Presidential level. Too early to tell for both houses tho.

We hope that the Constitution and common sense that the Tea Party perpetuates influences any election, and the Republican candidates will benefit from it. The R Party is more "The Big Tent Party," and the dimocrats can't fathom it. They are in for a rude awakening!

No need to wait until 2016... as the link above shows, the TP is already a powerful force in DC. Any TP victory in the future is just icing on the cake.

Indeed! Republicans have the gerrymandered advantage that delivered the House to them despite a majority of Americans voting for the Democratic candidate,in 2012, and that disparity will persist at least until 2020, and the overwhelming popular preference for a Democratic senate candidate is more than offset by states with puny populations voting Republican. (California sending a Democrat to Washington with 7,748,994 votes whilst Wyoming did so with only 184,531 illustrates the disparity.)

That the popular choice in five of the last six national elections was the Democratic ticket will only become more typical as the ranks of angry white guys dwindle.

Eventually, as an existential imperative, the GOP will need to clean up its act to court America's moderate electorate:

There may have been more "blue" states than "red" states in 2013, but a clear majority of Americans are ideologically at the center or right of center. How do Democrats continue to win elections if so few Americans identify themselves as liberal? The answer may lie with moderates, which, as a voting bloc, are solidly Democratic. If moderates begin voting with Republicans in the near or long-term future, there may indeed be a Republican revival on the national level.

Sometimes, extremist, ideological crackpots are so alienated from America, they are blind to the sentiments of the overwhelmingly moderate People.

NBC News/Wall Street Journal Poll conducted by Hart Research Associates (D) and Public Opinion Strategies (R). July 30-Aug. 3, 2014.

"Do you consider yourself a supporter of the Tea Party Movement?"

    Yes: 22%.......... No: 66%

    McClatchy-Marist Poll. Aug. 4-7, 2014.

"Do you approve or disapprove of the job the Republicans in Congress are doing in office?"

    Approve: 22%......Disapprove: 68%

    Gallup Poll. 8/28-30/14

"Do you approve or disapprove of the way Barack Obama is handling his job as president?"

    Approve: 42%......Disapprove: 51%

A mediocre President (whose numbers are slightly better than the Bush's at this stage of his tenure ( Approve: 41%, Disapprove: 55%), but far inferior to Clinton's (Approve 62%, Disapprove: 33%) is still vastly and consistently preferred to Republicans in Congress.

And this poll proves what? The list of elected representatives affiliated with the tea party movement doesn't exist?

Deny it all you like... the Tea Party movement has already infiltrated DC. New victories in Nov will only strengthen their influence and power to squash Dem's socialist agenda.

You're right to be scared. Unfortunately, it's too late for you to stop the momentum. ;)

These major polls continually affirm the moderate orientation of most Americans, despite the aberrant perspective of an alienated minority, as well as the public's relative assessment of recent presidents, the TPs and Congressional Repubs.

Radical propaganda promotes a distorted image that such objective empirical data refutes.

What part of elected representatives affiliated with the TP are serving do you not understand? Polls show Obama at 37% approval, but hes still president, right?

Public opinion is one thing, election results, quite another.

Since neither Clinton, nor the Bush, nor Obama will be running for office, that certainly applies to the polls that I cited.

Obama's current 42% Approval/51% Disapproval is only slightly better than the Bush's numbers at this stage of his tenure as I noted. That provides a comparative measure for any who would pretend their ratings were radically disparate one way or the other. And Clinton's were vastly superior to both, of course. Such historical perspective is enlightening.

I imply no equation for the far lower ratings for both the TPs and Republicans in Congress that I post as reflecting the sentiments of the American people regarding both.

    Reality...

As opposed to your poll's results... which may make you feel better, but does not change reality.

You exposed your gullibility and ignorance when you called me "a birther nut!" Any patriotic American that's not afraid of any of the media should certainly question Obama's birthplace due to his showing a phony BC!

We TPs have a great deal of common sense since we believe in the Constitution as amended. I guess that leaves you without much!

According to the State of Hawaii, the BC is legit. Why in the world do you think it is phony?

    Oh wait... I forgot. You're a birther nut. :)

LOl I simply believe in honesty and forthrightness. Many Rs say they believe the Hawaii officials to avoid being labeled a birther nut and being unfairly pulverized, but I'm not running for office. Most all Ds lap up anything Obama wants them to, but that may be changing.

I would believe Sheriff Joe over the Hawaii officials anytime. By the way, why was Ms Fuddy mysteriously killed in a plane crash, but the ones with her didn't get hurt bad? Sounds like The Kenyan has taken another page out of the Clinton book.

you didn't answer my question. WHY do you think the BC is phony?

If the depth and breadth of your argument is because Sheriff Joe sez so... that is pretty telling, don't you think?

Sheriff Joe's experts said it was phony. Descriptive terms on the document pertaining to the hospital was invalid as I recall. The Hawaii officials parced words by saying the copy was a bonafide representation of the BC on file essentially. They could not verify that the BC on file was the original hospital generated BC.
