Could he have tackled her and just beat her ass. Yes but he’s taking the risk someone there is armed and will fire because she had a lot more backup than he did if it were to go down like that.

I’m not going to take that risk. I’m going to end the threat. With that being said, taking that action means that the shooter has escalated the situation drastically and it’s reasonable that the other side may return fire. If so, you’re in a losing position.

The fact that those people didn’t return fire is a testament to the fact they had no intentions of insurrection. If they had, given the proclivity to own firearms by the second amendment crowd, they would have been more than capable of returning overwhelming firepower, overtaking the capitol and unleashing whatever consequences on whomever they wished and nobody could have stopped them in time.

 

If I feel my life or the people under my protection are legitimately at threat, yes absolutely.
