    I have shortlisted two of our allies
    1) Turkey
    2) Saudi Arabia

    Turkey is doing excellent work against Kurdish terrorists. Saudi Arabia has done excellent work in coordinating a coalition of the willing to support moderate Syrian freedom fighters against Assad's terror.

    It's a close call, but overall I think that Saudi is the USA's best ally in the war on terror, not Turkey.

    Before of the last attacks in Paris I would have said Russia, today I say France. Paris is motivated [because of obvious reasons!] to act and to act in a quick and determined way.

    Iran is our best ally against terrorists.

    they hate the Sunni extremists with passion.

    Shias are our best allies against Al Qaeda and ISIS

    I agree. Not to mention France has been subtlety kicking terrorist a*& all over the world for the past 5 years. Using small special operations units in many Asian and African nations.

    Russia is not a political ally per se, but it is an ally in the War on Terror and the best one we've got. By far.

    It is my sincere hope that Turkey, Israel, and Saudi Arabia all suffer the pain and suffering they deserve.

    If the Russians laid waste to all of them I would say it was a good day.

    Given those two options, neither really is a good ally. Australia, Great Britain, and Israel, that's our best allies against the middle east.

    France always gets overlooked, but throughout history, they've always been on our side and the US wouldn't be around without them.
