Who run Bartertown?

Completely pointless thread, but I just watched Beyond Thunderdome last night.

 

A workers collective of course.

It is post-Apocalypse.

 

It's not a bad movie, really.

It is a freaking awesome movie. Not as good as Road Warrior though.

 

We don't need another hero...

Tina Turner was in that if I recall.

 

This wasn't part of the deal......

Definitely the weakest of the three Mad Max movies.

Tina Turner's acting is painful to watch, and I would have left those stupid kids out the waiting for Captain Walker.

Supposedly the next film is being shot, with no Mel Gibson. Hopefully it goes back to the grittiness of the first and the inventiveness of the second.

 

I dunno ... Maybe Townies and some retired barber.

 

She starred in it, and sang the theme. (Technically, We Don't Need Another Hero-Thunderdome.)

Useless trivia: one of the vehicles in the movie had to be modified upon discovering that Tina Turner did not know how to drive a manual transmission.

 

where did you get that picture. Are we sure that it wasn't from a porn parody of Thunderdome. Thunderbone? prehaps. Check out the boy bits part of the photo. Odd lighting effects there, wouldn't ya say?
