The only problem with Dershowitz's analysis is that it's not political enough. Democrats would call spitting on the sidewalk a high crime or misdemeanor.

I would like to hear a legal rebuttal of the bribery allegation by Pelosi and Schiff. I think the rebuttal is this: Bribery involves payment for a corrupt act, not just "any act." If I pay an IRS auditor $5,000 to not maker a criminal referral against me after he confronts me with irregularities in my returns, like bogus deductions, that's bribery. But Trump didn't offer to pay Ukraine to do anything illegal. Or is it illegal (not smelly or e even dirty, but illegal) to ask that a beneficiary of foreign aid to investigate a political rival where you honestly think the rival (Biden's son) really is dirty?

When we go completely insane and the guillotine is sharpened up, it won't matter who is guilty and who isn't. Half of us will be beheaded. And I'd say we are just about there.
