Obama is threatening what is in effect amnesty for 4.5 million people. So....question is....who will pay for them? Where are the jobs for them? This would cost us Billions....and especially hard hit would be the border states. Has anyone thought about this? Besides the Republican Congress, that is?
The answer to the question is simple, the people who are against it will pay, and the people for it will not.
I think it would still be a violation of federal law to hire them regardless of what Obama directs the INS to do about prioritizing enforcement.
good question. are they now going to demand minimum wage? will they be paid minimum wage, plus payroll taxes, and all that other stuff? and no, they aren't being given amnesty. a 2 year deferment on deportation isn't amnesty in any sense of the word.
Obama will come out shortly and tell us how keeping the illegals here will actually save us money. Par for the course.
If Obama signs a no deportation order, how does that change anything in their status in this country now? If Obama adds being allowed to apply for a work permit as he did with the DACA EO, there will be no benefits to go along with that. Not deporting them in the future costs as much as not deporting them now. In fact deporting 15 million people would cost the US Tax payer far more than what legal benefits they receive from the states or the federal government .
Who paid for the Hispanics Ronald Reagan brought in circa 1986? The bill was written to cover three million but ultimately resulted in at least four million who were granted amnesty. Besides that who the hell is gonna harvest the crops, clean hotel rooms, mow the lawns and otherwise work for $5.00 an hour. You can bet your ass it won't be the young Americans around these days. Most of them are too lazy to clean their rooms and make their beds. A crew of six Mexicans built my floating dock about a year ago. Only one of them spoke a little broken English:
Every democrat official should be forced to pay for it since in the end it's on all of them. But it won't be. Most people paying will be those who want them to go home.
LMAO!!! Surely you jest. Republicans want them here for cheap labor to keep the wages of ordinary American laborers down and the Democrats want them here for their votes. Don't expect anything to change very soon.
The only cheap labor is agricultural and we can fix the visa issue and the rest can go. All we have to do is vote out the fools who don't want to fix the problems. Nah. They're all insane right?
I believe his E.O. points that were made public the other day says that Obama will provide them legal paperwork too Yes, I was right: he will provide them Social Security Cards, government-issued I.D.'s, and work permits. Just looked it up.
Call it what you will....but fact is under Obama's E.O. they will receive work authorization in the United States, Social Security numbers and government-issued IDs. Doesn't sound to me like they'll ever be deported. Obama is simply making a political decision here......that he hopes will get him off the hook with Hispanics for his last two years. What he doesn't tell them is that as Senator, he was responsible for the 2007 Immigration legislation to blow up by sponsoring a "poison-pill" amendment....because he was running for prez and the Unions wanted it killed. We could have had a bi-partisan comprehensive Immigration program in place already for 7 years!!!!
You mean the legislation that Dems wrote and where they agreed to cut spending in return for the Immigration bill they wanted??? Yeah.....Reagan should have never believed the suckers because they NEVER fulfilled their side of the agreement. IOW's he got snookered; lesson is.....never trust Democrats; KEEP WHAT YOU ARE PROMISED FIRST.
Here's what happened in 1986 when the Democrats never came through with their part of the deal was: to secure the borders. And as we still know today....its always the Democrats who fight actually securing our borders...written by Newt Gingrich who was there: "In 1986 I voted for the Simpson-Mazzoli immigration bill because we were told it would solve the problem of massive illegal immigration. In his diaries, President Ronald Reagan said he was going to sign the bill because we had to regain control of our borders. The Simpson-Mazzoli bill contained three promises: The government would make a concerted effort to control the borders. An effective employer verification program would ensure that only legal workers were hired. One-time amnesty would be granted for people illegally in the United States. All three promises were broken. The government has made no serious effort to control our borders. Employers continue knowingly to hire illegal immigrants without any real fear of punishment." Source: Real Change, by Newt Gingrich, p.126 , Dec 18, 2007
someone lied to you, as they will not receive Social Security numbers. they won't receive Green Cards. They won't even receive a Work Visa. they will simply receive a temporary authorization to work in the USA, for 2 years. that's it. - - - Updated - - - sorry bro, but all Obama can do is extend DACA. and that doesn't grant Social Security numbers, Green Cards or even Work Visas. simply an authorization to work letter, in the USA, for two years.
Wishes and promises are not granted. Politics and governance requires work. If Reagan, the Democrats and the Republicans did not work to fulfill the requirements of Simpson-Mazzoli, then that was a lost opportunity.
Who will pay the cost to the added burden to the school system? Non English speaking kids in class room hindering the learning of other kids.
Granny says, "Let Obama pay fer it... ... outta his own pocket... ... he the one comin' up with alla big amnesty ideas."
the answer is quite simple, nothing will really change. the illegals who are employed will continue in their jobs and those that are illegally receiving benefits will continue to receive them. they will continue to be a net drain on our economy and on the job market. they will continue to displace our own workers, but the threat of being found out and inconvenienced will be removed. yes, it is merely an inconvenience. even if illegal immigrants are rounded up they are usually just released pending a court date they will simply ignore. even deportation is just a pause while they smuggle themselves back across the border and resume their lives. what will change is the way those who haven't yet crossed the border will look at the trip. with the promise of amnesty once more in the spotlight, millions more will dare the journey and we'll be stuck with them as well.
19000 golf courses are in the U.S . If he plans on getting 4.5 million illegals jobs than that's the end of 238 American jobs at each one of those courses. Now we know why he's been golfing so much !!! He's not a community organizer , he's a golf course recruiter !
Some pro a few months ago said that for a man who plays as much as the Golfer-in-Chief plays, Obama totally sucks as a golfer, and so he probably needs quite a few to keep track of wherever he's sending those golf balls. Perhaps that's what finally broke the Secret Service, him using all those agents surrounding him as lost balls shaggers. You never know.
We're not 100% sure what's going to be in his E.O. But from what I've read he plans to provide them Social Security Cards, work authorization, and government-issued I.D.'s. Meaning they'll be able to do just about anything and apply for services too. How do you think blacks who have the largest percentage of unemployment are going to feel about that?
I do believe your last sentence is right-on! Proving over and over again, that SECURING our border is absolutely necessary. And yet it's something that Democrats always fight when trying to do Immigration Reform. You know, I'd be fine with allowing all those here now to have a path to citizenship and get to stay. BUT it MUST be accompanied by once and for all actually securing our borders. Otherwise, this thing just continues and we get multi-millions every few years. We literally cannot sustain that.
