That implies single payer caused the difference.
But according to you it doesn't.

So clearly better results as a result of single payer has not been established.

That’s what the data seems to indicate.
    Strawman

Yes, if you ignore all the data, this would make sense.

I am not sure what was your conclusion, but you have clearly indicated that Canadian government artificially limits number of doctors.
You said Canada has a lot of medical students, but limited space to train them. What does it mean limited space to train them? The students go to medical school that where they should be trained. This system works very well everywhere in the world EXCEPT in US and Canada. Yea, sure, your government will tell you any fairly tale about limited spaces somewhere in the space.
Yes that is a space in the hand of the same Medical Cartel that is trying to preserve their wealth and exorbitant salaries, at the expense of human lives.

There is no evidence that it is happening on the large scale, may be 1% or so that have no meaningful impact.

The case of health care regulations is an interesting one, as state governments have empowered private medical boards with unilateral authority to set the rules for the medical profession, including the issuing and revoking of medical licenses. These boards effectively function like government regulatory agencies, with the important difference that they lack the opportunity for public comments, and thus are immune from any political pressure from citizens.

    I have no cost barriers.

But, your implication that I would be ready to sell out America for personal gain is noted - and not appreciated.

Is that how you make decisions?

Medicare is a single payer type of system. We pony social safetynet features on the side of that, calling it Medicaid.

Most healthcare providers in the US are operating under free market capitalist rules and thus fill their calandars with customers that pay a LOT.

I really have NO IDEA why you blame Medicare for that.

Medicare is NOT contributing to the price inflation you complain about.

Because Medicare rations spending by establishing rates so low that many (and the number is increasing) doctors and facilities will not accept Medicare or Medicaid patients. That has nothing to do with price inflation.

Those are lame excuses, to preserve doctors shortage.
All is need to be done is to lift a cap on medical residencies.
That is all, there is not need to listen your long story about doctors.
    Doctor is not a God.
First you remove artificial block that stifle competition and raise prices, then we will talk about how hard it is to be a doctor.
I can't believe people are brainwashed so hard.
If you do not want to do it, then Single Payer is only the answer.

It’s completely delusional to think that socialized medicine will result in more doctors. Too funny.

Sure it does. How could it possibly not?

Remember the UK spends HALF what we do. And, remember that US insurance companies get paid a percentage.

You just admitted that residency departments are free to hire residents without Medicare funding.

    Here comes the doctor disparaging.
What's next, they don't deserve a couple hundred grand for their efforts?

For certain specialties, 200 grand seems reasonable.

The UK government spends half what US customers spend on healthcare. The US government follows the UK government pattern. Many Medicare enrollees pay ~ $1500 per year for supplemental to get decent coverage along with ~ $1500 per year for Medicare premiums.

Certainly docs contribute more value to society than stuffing an orange ball through a hoop or dressing up like a comic book character for a movie.
