Provoke what with a anti-Trump, anti-gun, anti-reality post. That's more like progressive babbling than provoking.
Working for a tier one wireless carrier, I'm paid to be on vacation thirty eight hours a week and have some weekends off. Why would I want to spend money doing something else?
Untrue, you assume you know about people who in reality you know nothing about, but can only project yourself as feeling. Take a vacation, your getting beat and you need one.
As an American I have a lot of feelings these days about how things are going with the country; I don't however have any feelings of insecurity or defenselessness. I didn't vote for Trump, I do carry a gun, I am not frightened or unprepared. But thanks for asking.
You're welcome. I always want to see how my fellow Americans are doing. They've seemed a little fearful/tentative over the past decade, decade and a half. Some of the symptoms are buying a record number of firearms, wanting to withdraw from the world, overly fearful of illegal immigrants, so on and so forth.
Perhaps the beach isn't for you, so may I suggest some time in the woods than or travel to a different culture for a freshened up perspective?
Is that why you got a gun? Why do you think the German govt is issuing more gun liscences to civilians? They have no obligation to do so.
I see what you mean. I know some of those types. I don't feel I am one of them but I have recently bought a number of firearms for no other reason than the idea that one day I might not be able to buy them. Where I live I have always been sort of withdrawn from the world; it was not a conscious choice it just happens to be where I grew up and I like it here. I have no problem with illegal immigrants; I have friends who came here illegally. I do have a problem with illegal immigration but then I also have a problem with legal immigration.
Yeah, there's a lot of that. I have people close to me who did the same thing. That's certainly within your right, but I wonder if we all do that doesn't that force the firearms industry to produce a lot more guns and wouldn't that lead to more of those guns winding up on the street? I have no problem with individuals living that way, what bothers me is voting for a policy that America itself withdraw by electing politicians who think that way. For example, Trump threatening to withdraw from the Paris climate agreement. I have had illegal friends, but they have either left the country or moved to the border area. I'm curious, why do you have a problem with legal immigration?
There have been guns wherever I've lived since the day I was born. It's not a new thing for me. I have never run out and got a gun due to the direction of the social, or political, wind. It sounds to me like that's what the Germans are doing. Of course they may all have had a sudden urge to hunt boar.
Exactly what constitutes a "record number of firearms" with regard to this discussion? What is withdrawing from the world? Why exactly should one be welcoming and supportive to illegal aliens entering into their country?
Provide an exact numerical figure that is easily cited, not a vague concept of thought that can be applied to anything. Which constitutes what, specifically? What actions and/or activities define withdrawing from the world, thus allowing for easy recognition of when such occurs, rather than relying on vague concepts of thought that can be applied to anything? Then do not use terms such as "fearful of illegal immigrants" while expecting to not be questioned about what such actually pertains to.
We've become fearful of illegal immigrants as we withdraw from the world while afloat in a record number of firearms.
More false statements by yourself, there are not a record number of firearms being sold in the U.S. at this time. More lies from the anti's.
Thus demonstrating that there are no round, easy to cite figures possessed on the part of yourself, rather just vague concepts of thought that can mean anything to anyone.
Unfortunately your chart doesn't match the facts, firearms ownership peaked at 47% in 1990 and dropped to a low in 2013 and even today remain below the 1990 peak. As such your comment of a record number of firearm sales is patently false. https://www.statista.com/statistics...eholds-in-the-united-states-owning-a-firearm/
1990 US population = 249 million. 47% of that is 117 million. 2018 US population = 326 million. 43% of that is 140 million. Your attempt falls flat on its face. As usual.

All of which is based exclusively on surveys, not on scientifically verifiable evidence. Randomly calling up a stranger and asking them if they own any firearms is not going to garner valid responses. The only thing such will indicate, is the number of individuals willing to admit to owning firearms, not those that actually do own firearms.
