Why are you paying an exorbitant amount of money for fuels?

Well if you don't have a rebuttal, I suppose this kind of response is the next best thing.

That is a rebuttal, it doesn't work that way, and you know it.

I hope you appreciate the irony of your post as much as I do. Thanks for the laugh.

So those who need larger vehicles, trucks to be precise, for work and hauling materials, are all that's wrong in this world....

When will you stop seeing the world as 'Trump' and start seeing people that have many different ways of doing things for different reasons? Hope you never have to haul materials to build something, or a piece of furniture that is larger than your Prius.

Exactly, the higher cost of oil/gas allows countries that 'produce' more expensive forms of energy to compete on the world market, hence, their 'workers' get to keep their jobs and their local economies 'growing'. Right now, we are simply producing and buying more local fuels than Middle Eastern fuels.

It would seem obvious that electric vehicles will eventually dominate the market, and I don't have a problem with that. I don't own one, never will. But in the future they will dominate.
The problems come from those who wish to impose changes prematurely. I say- let the technology evolve, the support structure evolve, and it will find it's own place in the future.
In my area, the average price of gas is about $2.89 and hasn't changed much over the last few years. I realize this is not true nationwide. All things considered, that is not a high price.

The barriers to electrics are changing, fairly fast. The performance is now far above an acceptable level. The operational cost of recharging- I have no idea. However the availability of recharging is an obvious issue, even in the city, gas stations here outnumber charging stations about 15 to 1. In the rural areas, that is 100 to 1. Thus if you drive electric on a long road trip, you would have to carefully plan your route based on the availability of charging stations. Not something I'm willing to do. You're also relying on the capacity of your battery, which in general experience is far less reliable than the mileage from gasoline. I imagine being 50 miles from anywhere and having my battery croak, and trying to find a gallon of electricity I can pour in so I can get to town......

Then, we have the near-sighted vision of the environmentalists who rave about eliminating combustion engine emissions, and ignore the emission generated by the generation of power required to recharge their batteries.... Eventually these issues will be addressed and probably resolved. That is the time electric cars can become the overall best choice. I expect they will be building in sound systems that link to throttle positions or in some ways allow the familiar sounds of a throbbing V-8 to keep us old guys happy.

In the meantime.... my old mid-engine sports car with the tuned exhaust takes care of that.

Why don't you pro electric guys own electric driven autos?

Prior to Biden we were self sufficient. Now all you mention is foreign sources, proving my case for me.

Read my post again, carefully. Higher cost fossil fuels support the American economy and American jobs and fuel exports.

I made an error. Why don't you pro electric lovers drive electric cars?

Biden's secret weapon to tax us all a lot more is higher costs to all of us. I saw through him a long time back.

Going on 5 years now, all your joy was devoted to blaming Trump. Biden has to get thick skin when he keeps making major errors.

Have you seen local gas stations closing?

Why is it none of you own electric cars?

I wish now I had asked everybody replying to also state their costs per gallon for gasoline or diesel.

Biden is shoving prices higher for many goods due to his need for more revenue generated off the plain old dollar forcing up income taxes. He is driven everywhere or flown everywhere for free. To him we are just peons.

I wish you had researched that first so you might not have given that kind of reply.
I will use my former state as an example. CA has the nasty habit of asking the voters to approve higher taxes to build roads. But they use the money for other things. So they have the bad infrastructure as Newsom blows money on other things than highways.

At first we voters agreed to pay more taxes due to requests to fix roads. After half a dozen broken promises. we started to get wiser. Now we know when they say roads, they do not mean it.

Why not fix your problems by buying a Tesla or even a Prius? Are you willing to subsidize electric when you fill up your trucks?

That is what it amounts to. We using gasoline, subsidize electric cars we do not own.

Did Biden have the power to kill the Deal Canada and the USA had made? Gee you think?

Why do so many Democrats exaggerate? I did not bring the world into this.

Biden has one hell of a time forcing us all to drive electric. Biden is not a leader, he is a parasite.

I have never once in my life voted for any president so he could assume the role of my leader. I am very independent and never saw any of them as my leader.
If you want a leader, get more education.

Diesel went from 2.99 a gallon about three weeks ago, to $3.49 this week. Regular gasoline went from 2.89 to 3.19.

The increase in grocery prices is almost painful.
