They know how smart and sincere he is, and how he could appeal to the masses.
    And here's the kicker-

think about it. The usual tactic that Dems have used in the past few years (or longer) to destroy a candidate have been all personal or dishonest. - The 1% with Romney- very dishonest. The left knows (or SHOULD know) that he didn't mean that statement like the Dems claimed.
Take someone like Herman Cain- let's not fight him on policy, but let's dig up some women (true or not) out of his past.

Now Ben Carson- The left knows they're not going to find bad behavior in his past. They realize that he's too obviously a good person to make believable lies up about, and they know he would be even harder than most Cons to actually debate. AND FINALLY......the left knows that they have to handle him with kid gloves since he's black, because the left is SUPPOSED the be the party who cares about minorities (yuk, yuk, yuk).

So they have nothing to defend themselves against Carson with. That's why he probably scares them even more than Palin used to.

Ben Carson has no political experience. Neither party considers him a real candidate,.

Whether you would vote for him or not is irrelevant. You're delusional if you think the Republican party will endorse him as their candidate or that the Democratic party is scared of him.

I am scared of Ben Carson and I would probably vote for him. He is obviously very intelligent, accomplished and has already shown his organizational and leadership skills running a surgical department at one of the largest hospitals. However, from his interviews he appears to be EXTREMELY religious and that worries me. There is a sweet spot between being religious and being an athiest (which I also don't really like) and he doesn't fall in that window.

Well, I'm glad you'd vote for him. He's too smart to support something like forcing every citizen to go to church.

He's also smart enough to find a way to educate people out of believing that they're victims. And the only people who have to fear that are not people like you, I'm sure. :)

In fact, many consider him an Idiot Savant and there's plenty of proof to back up their assumptions. Yes OP, people are as afraid of him as they are of Frau Palin...NOT!!!

Palin used to scare me a lot. Just about every time I saw her speak I laughed so loud I was afraid I would pee my pants!

Well the Dems are scared to death of him. You're kidding YOURself if you don't realize that. But whether the Repubs would nominate him or not, he is the first of many and if the Repubs don't wake up now, they'll wake up later.

Liberalism is dying. It never HAD life, only a CLAIM to life and some people are still buying into that claim.

I like Ben, more than a bit, but I think he's set himself too far to the right and lacks political experience.

The one Dems are really afraid of is Scott Walker. They've lost to him three times now on their home turf and failed at the trumped up charges thing. The leftist media has been silent about him and silence is how they express fear.

Well, it's brave of you to admit that you have a fear of peeing your pants (you don't need to be embarrassed about that).

But Palin and Carson are so far ahead of you and your friends' intellectual perception of life and the universe, it would be amazing if it was worth considering, which it isn't.

Yes, they are VERY afraid of Walker and on a conscious level. But Carson reigns terror in their mentalities at an even deeper level.

Carson means that honesty will someday reign. Whether it's in Ben's interval or later.
And while liberals may (or may not) think that they are honest folks, they're not.

And so big honesty would be a larger pill to swallow for a liberal than big business.

You're so full of it I'm smiling.

And have you ever noticed when some people use the "NOT!!" angle, they're actually saying "YES!!", but crying in the wilderness about the truth, and they can't admit it to themselves or others.

If you weren't scared of Palin and what she STANDS FOR morally, you would have forgotten about her LONG, LONG ago. We all know you would have.

    You know it too.

ha ha ha ha ha "plenty of proof" says Peppermint. "But I'm not going to offer them any, " she smiles, "I'm simply going to fool them". hahahahahahahahahaha

Wow, and yet Ben Carson recognizes that welfare is not a good thing unless it's absolutely necessary. You're right Todd, that's good info about Ben.

Thank you for it. Wow, from welfare to world-class doctor. (instead of the Liberal slant for blacks "from welfare to more welfare")

    Go Ben. Go Todd.

Only a girl with a hat like the one in your avatar is a person whom you could consider an intellectual, right Patty? :)

She's certainly someone who MOST intellectuals would want to be associated with.

I hope it isn't you. No offense if it is.

But I gotta keep you serious, you know? :)

Ben Carson will not be the candidate...ever, so the entire premise is moot.

No, I don't suppose you would be familiar with one of the most iconic works of art in the world. Other than a bit of Photoshop recoloring, anyone with any worldliness or art knowlege would recognize that painting.

Ex-lib is certainly terrified of an honest discussion. No matter what anyone says, he just screams "YOU'RE SCARED!". He's not debating in good faith, so there's little point in speaking with him.

Carson is a hardcore young-earth creationist. That means he's kind of lacking in the common sense department. He can speak his list of inspiring cliches, and that's about where his ability ends. And when he wanders out of his cliche comfort zone, he turns into a gaffe machine, like when he compared homosexuality to bestiality and NAMBLA.

So the point is that welfare was absolutely necessary for Carsen but it's not for other blacks? Why?
