If most People follow the Law, you just shot down the need for Gun Control, since most People are NOT Criminals.

You cannot justify Gun Control just because a few People do not obey Laws.

if guns are outlawed, many people who have never caused any problems would be outlaws. And Many of them might well decide to seek out and kill those who passed such laws. That would be the ultimate reason behind the second amendment

So you going to do that? Or, expect some one else to do it?

None of the cops I know would be confiscating guns. We can't even put actual felons in jail.

Most people follow the law....and you seem to think that means we don't need laws? Lol

And thanks to that, more and more often we are hearing of concealed carry holders coming to the defense of the police. Several police have had their lives saved in the past year by those citizens.

The police anywhere I have lived have encouraged law-abiding citizens to be armed. With us rushing to their aid, I don't see that support eroding.

The fascists who think the police and military are going to disarm anyone are going to have their meglomaniac bubble burst if someone tries.

Lots of gun owners will shoot someone who tries to put them in prison merely for owning a gun they have owned for years and never caused any harm with. any government that would put people in prison because they refuse to give up guns is not a legitimate government and is in violation of the constitution

BM members always expect others to do the dirty work. they don't want to get their hands dirty. they want to inflict death and imprisonment on people whose politics they don't like but they are too afraid to do it themselves

you want to pass laws that will make millions of honest peaceful people into felons if they refuse to give up firearms they have owned, without incident for decades. Why do you want to turn millions of people into criminals when the government is unable to control real criminals?

    http://www.breitbart.com/2nd-amendm...up-calls-officers-refuse-enforce-gun-control/
The 2A has always be a litmus test for me...those that would violate it will see little issue with violating any right if expedient to their objectives which has little to do with guns.
Then too, I always note they insinuate expecting that others will do the risky work of confiscation. Most gun owners I know will rise to defend police officers in need (I have done so, though not with a gun). But how many that advocate limiting guns to just the LE would vs waiting for another officer to come to the rescue?

those who want to ban guns essentially wish to outsource their personal responsibility of self defense to the government. As Jeffrey Snyder noted in his seminal work "A Nation of Cowards" first published (IIRC) the PUBLIC INTEREST about 22 years ago, many Banners push for gun bans because armed citizens remind banners that they are afraid to make their own safety a personal responsibility. They think by banning guns, they won't be reminded of their own inadequacies and timidity by the presence of armed citizens.

I have always been stunned when I see headlines like the following...
    http://sacramento.cbslocal.com/2017/03/22/facebook-live-teen-raped/
How many of those standing by we're saying or thinking why doesn't someone do something?

its the Kitty Genovese syndrome-a girl in NY was stabbed to death-dozens saw it and did nothing. In my neighborhood, the perpetrator would have been shot so many times by the time the cops got there, the Coroner would have been hard pressed to make an id. But in the areas where people are disarmed sheeple, its expected they act like sheep

Where I was raised, even the women unhesitatingly would flood the streets with whatever weapons were at hand. Given all the American movies I had seen before coming here, that was inconceivable to me. I do think there a sort of culturization I have see where people hesitate, waiting for someone else to respond.
But then, there are some, like 911 that run towards the emergency into risk. I guess that was the normal behavior for us; your neighborhood I'd attacked, you run to defend it. Who whole you want living in you neighborhood. Where I now live, I seem to have become the go to fellow when there is an emergency in the area, not good because many still don't take responsibility for emergencies or their own safety.

There are a lot of videos out there where people are being beaten, stabbed, killed. Livestreams from Facebook where people are committing suicide, being raped, killed.

The disturbing thing is that out of hundreds you might have that one person that will call the police, or try to stop it. A lot of them are enjoying it.

I also believe that those same people, in their own self-absorption, think that would never happen to them.

It's enough to make you question humanity itself.
