Began right after the end of WWII revealed the horror that was Hitler's industrial scale attempt to rid humanity of it's lesser lights as defined by Hitler became public knowledge, The Progressive Democrats who had been attached at the hip to the eugenics movement in this country they decided they had to, for the time being at least, disassociate themselves from the eugenics movement, so they started calling themselves liberals. And no there isn't a damn thing liberal about them. They are at best statist left.

No one wants gays in closets. But the union of two men is inferior to the union of a man and a woman (biology matters), especially when it comes to raising children. We should not have redefined marriage.

 

The left does this all the time. "Liberal" became a bad word, so they rebranded themselves. Eventually, the public will figure out "progressive" isn't a good thing either, so the Dems will come up with a new name after that.

Most politicians don't want to do **** about illegal aliens and border crossing. Republican or Democrat. In all of my life they have done nothing.

I don't think they want open boarders I think they want a lower class people here to under cut the American workers that's why they have done nothing.

A wall may not be the best solution. But the politician that proposed it was at least suggesting something.

Neither party is right on this issue.

Reagan had to build up the military because it was decimated after Vietnam. Carter destroyed the military. Reagan’s buildup won the Cold War, no small feat. Reagan wanted cuts in domestic spending to offset the military expenses, but the Dems in Congress wouldn’t do it.

Clinton had a Republican Congress that balanced the budget for him.

Bush had to respond to 9/11.

When you draw conclusions, it’s best to look at what actually led to those outcomes.

Sadly, a good word (liberal) has essentially lost all positive connotations
