With over ninety nine percent of them never being prosecuted, meaning those that were denied at one point were free to acquire firearms at a later point, from a different source. Therefore nothing meaningful was achieved.

All of which was done to force you to admit that it is indeed a crime for a prohibited individual to attempt to possess a firearm. It does not matter if they held the firearm in their hands, if it was touched in passing, if they attempted to purchase it in a business transaction, or even if they merely asked about where they could procure a firearm, all of the above are criminal acts. You made the claim that there was no law that criminalized a prohibited individual attempting to possess a firearm, and you were forced to cite a court case that said you were incorrect in your position. You did not even contemplate that you were being led into a trap until after you were caught.

Further, in addition to admitting that attempted possession of a firearm by a prohibited individual is a crime, you are simultaneously admitting that background checks have not stopped anything, as there are nearly two and one half million individuals who were not prosecuted for committing felony offenses.

What polls showed Clinton winning by a landslide?

    LOL.

Compare to Trump who insisted the electoral college was undemocratic right up
to the day he was elected, and then insisted it was by an overwhelming landslide
though he came in 46th out of 56 elections.

And lost the popular election by close to three million.

    LOL.

Those of us who can actually read polls read the small numbers, the plus or minuses
and the margin of errors and the confidence levels.

Especially those that weren't a crime.

The purpose of universal background checks is to block the sales of firearms
    to people who are prohibited.

Success is measured by the number of persons blocked.

Where oh where is that quote?

A lie repeated a thousand times is a thousand lies.

We've established you don't know what you are talking about (specifically here) in
    regards to this law.

Putting aside I was the one who taught you about possession and control and how
    they are not interchangeable.

There should be a penalty for those who willfully repeat falsehoods.

    In my humble opinion.

These "admissions" are after all... more pigeon chess.

Then would not such indicate that the majority of the sales that were blocked, were done so without legitimate reason?

If they are prohibited from firearms ownership, they are committing a crime by attempting to purchase a firearm. Therefore they should be prosecuted.

With almost no prosecutions. Thus meaning either there is no interest in prosecuting those who have committed felony offenses, or the majority of the blocked sales were denied without reason.

Such was already presented. You cited the court case stating that the felon was convicted for attempted possession of a firearm, after you went on record as saying that a prohibited individual attempting to purchase a firearm was not committing a crime.

It is not rocket science. This is not a difficult concept to understand. A claim was made by yourself, and then you proved your claim as being incorrect.

No matter how many times you deny the facts, it does not change the fact that you were taken to task, your falsehoods were revealed, and you were forced to admit that you were incorrect in your previous claim. You were so desperate to win one argument, you failed to consider what you were saying until it was too late.

Your opinion on the matter is worth less than the pigeon itself.

And yet to separate that actual possession and attempted possession were two different crimes that are not interchangeable, you had to cite a court case proving that a prohibited individual attempting to purchase a firearm is indeed committing a crime. You were baited, no differently than the fish you referred to earlier, and you took it without a second thought.

It doesn't matter what Trump thought, it was POLLS that were wrong. BTW a very weak attempt at deflection. At least you're consistent though.

    The polls were not wrong.

And I am not the one who brought up "landslide".

The purpose of the universal background check is to require background
    checks on all background checks.

Even with the giant loophole that an estimated 40 percent gun sales pass,
the FFL requirement resulted in 2.5 million sales blocked.

Already proven wrong, by your own citation. Attempted possession of a firearm by a prohibited individual.

Then pray tell what good was done, if firearms were acquired by these individuals regardless?

    They were not wrong.

They (most) predicted a very close election and Clinton ended up with more
    votes than Trump.

    Polls count people, not states.

And the final polls put the election within the margin of error, plus or minus 4 percent.

And the polls got closer than to the release of false information of FBI director
    Comey.

You can compare to the 90 percent of UBCs, and you can take away the margin of
    error entirely if you like.
