Read what? The ban? I know that it doesn't say the word muslim, but there can be very little doubt that this is the actual policy result from the policy proposal that Trump made. In other words, while this facially neutral law may or may not have a discriminatory effect, it does have a discriminatory intent. And that makes the order unconstitutional and it is why Trump has lost twice in the courts.

And if you have to say "clearly," then your argument is probably not very clear.

 

So then your referring to it as a Muslim ban, or unconstitutional is dishonest because it is neither. Whatever discriminatory attempt you see is your own projection and not factual.

You are simply wrong. You hate Trump, so you hate his policy. That is the limit of your thinking.

And yes, I hate this policy. It is an incredibly ignorant policy that does a significant amount of harm in order to address a problem that does not exist. The fact that it is the implementation of a discriminatory policy is just part of the grounds for why it is unconstitutional.

 

This actually makes a small amount of sense, but I wonder whether the school boards would be persuaded by an increased media coverage of a brutal and singular event when the statistics bear out that illegal immigrants are less likely to engage in illegal behavior when compared to the native population.

 

It is not a Muslim ban, no wording of that at all. Therefore it's not unconstitutional. It's objectively within his power as president. You just hate him, therefore his policy.

 

Let me try and get you to address a situation which would illustrate my point.

If I told you that I want to pass a law that prevents Black Americans in my county from using the Public Library and then I pass a law which does prevent Black Americans in my county from using the Public Library. However, the law does not mention the phrase "Black Americans" at all. Do you think that law is constitutionally valid?
