Scenario. Biden wins, and the Dems take the senate, and immediately pass some sort of semi-automatic weapons ban. Sure, it goes to the courts, but that takes years. In the meantime sales are banned and Dems, as they will if they get power like that again, pack the courts. The 16 member Supreme Court rules the second amendment unconstitutional.
