You still make this claim and yet provide no proof for it. Furthermore, no one else has backed you up besides Johnny C's little tantrum. Secondly, I'm not a conservative. Now, would you care to answer the question?

The US is called everything in the book by foreign countries that vilify us, undermine us, and yes even attack us. The following is an interactive map that shows where foreign aid goes. http://beta.foreignassistance.gov/explore

The US is also the largest contributor to NATO, both financially and with troops and equipment. http://www.cbsnews.com/news/gates-criticizes-nato-how-much-does-us-pay/

The US is also number one in charitable giving...We as a country send people, funds and equipment to aid in foreign disasters. So no we don't give a rats a** what other countries think of us or what happens internally in another countries politics. I could really care less if the UK leaves the European Union, what they do in their own country is their business...In other words stay out of ours.

The vast majority of Americans are complete idiots. They are oblivious to what is happening everywhere not just other countries.

You are talking about people who text while they drive, spend themselves into poverty, and take pictures of what they are eating. They spend more money on sex toys ( masturbation devices ) than they do books.

They believe what the establishment tells them and are incapable of rational thought.
Our entire civilization is self destructing before your eyes.

Given events like the attack on Pearl Harbor, and the fact that the US economy is entirely dependent on the international economy, that isn't a good idea.

No. I'm not interested in talking to you because you have no interest in discussing ideas. Why would any liberal try to engage with you for any reason other than to mock you? What's the point?

Obviously, I'm not going to bother continually pointing that out to you either. I'll just start to ignore you, like other posters who aren't interested in discussion. You are welcome to your echo-chamber.

That is an interesting statistic on sex toys. Is it true? I hope so. Myself, I spend nothing on either. I have a decent public library nearby

From one elitist to another, there is no use complaining. Just sit back and enjoy the decline.

I can't help it if all of your family and friends are racists. Don't tell the rest of us we're racists because of your experience.

Pearl Harbor was a wartime situation and a fleet that size would not be able to move unseen due to satellite surveillance that was not available in WWII. And you have it backwards, the world economy is dependent upon the US consumer...The US could survive just fine without the world, we are the largest consumer of goods, Textiles and other goods from China, produce from Mexico and South America...Can you imagine what would happen to those economies if the US decided that we will put tariffs on the goods equal to what they put on ours. What would happen to Germany if the US pulled all the troops from there...There are approximately 63,000 US troops in Europe, many with dependents...So let's say an estimated 100,000 people are all brought back to the US...That is a huge loss of income for those countries, not only in the loss of those families, but the contracts for services provided for those bases.
The US can be self sufficient...we don't need the other countries goods and produce...want and need are 2 different things.

Well....much of that is true but however it cannot be denied that just about every single world changing technological development has it's origins in the United States.

Also the U.S. has more Nobel Prize Winners than any other nation.

And the U.S. is home to the very best colleges, universities and institutes on the planet and these schools exist in vast numbers in the U.S.

Plus U.S. Culture is PERVASIVE and exists in every nation on the planet.

You say that like technology is beneficial to mankind, the jury is still out on that one.

Nobel prize winners like Obama? Not impressive. Colleges are institutions of higher indoctrination and propaganda.

And yes the US has infected the rest of the world with its diseased culture to the determent of the world.

You forgot to mention the millions we have murdered through illegal interventions and the destabilization of entire regions causing mass immigrations and displacements.

Yes we should pat ourselves on the back for all of that.....

Go look at the U.N. Starvation and Disease Committee Reports.

They credit the U.S. for preventing the deaths by starvation of close to 1 Billion people a year due to U.S. Food aid.

They also credit U.S. Medical Aid for preventing the deaths of over 800 Million a year.

Bill Gates ALONE is credited for preventing the deaths of over 50 Million People due to his donations of MOSQUITO SLEEPING NETS in Africa and South and Middle America.

The UN in the puppet of the US . It has no credibility. The people who need US food assistance are poor because of the exploitation of poor countries by imperialistic corporate interests backed by UN belonging countries. The 1st world exploitation of poor countries make them poor, and then the 1st world pats itself on the back for giving them just enough to stay alive......

The main reason why most Americans do not pay attention to the world is because of apathy and we are extremely short sighted and forgetful. For instance, most Americans think the attack of Pearl Harbor is a love story between two friends and a girl and that is it. If their next door neighbor was being attacked, they would simply turn up the volumn of the TV set and simply move on.

Actually, a significant number of poor people who are on welfare assistance do want to work. The problem lies with the system, not the person. Let me elucidate you, you are poor, your ONLY two choices are either work for a minimum wage job and not able to take care of your kids, OR be on welfare and be able to take care of your kids. If you choose the job, you lose the welfare. But if you don't choose the job, then you are on welfare and are being called lazy by the far right.

The problem that most on the right have try to use that hindsight and criticize/demean/repudiate the choices made in the past without even understanding where the poor comes from. And yes, there are few that want to gain the system, but I know people who try to gain the system no matter what their situation is like.

the question is, how do you define "fair share?" Second, what do you do with soldiers who are injured and have to go to the hospital for every ache and pain? There has to be a balance where temporary help is there but at the same time the flexibility and mobility of the economy to allow people to choose. But the biggest pet peeve I have are those who think they are morally superior because of their circumstances without even trying to understand others.

And yes, I have been to other countries as well, just not on Uncle Sam's dime like you were. Good for you. However, even in China there are people who try to gain the system. Even in China there are people who try to pay their "fair share" without government assistance. I can give you Japan, ROK, Philippines, Mexico, Costa Rica, Honduras, and a few other places as well.

Most foreigners abroad really do not care what Americans think. Their grievance is with the American government and how that government interacts with their country's government, populace, and businesses.

And the largest contributor is Israel at $3.1 billion. Egypt is second with $1.45. And the rest is divvied up among all the other countries.

Yes, at $33 billion per annum out of a $4.2 trillion budget, it is a drop in the bucket amoung all other things. But foreign aid is also how the US can leverage other countries. Get rid of the foreign aid, not only will the foreign countries still call us names, but they will ignore us too with trade, diplomacy, travel, and cooperation. Not a good thing.

Actually I have spent time in Louisiana.

    GREAT FOOD!!!!

But one thing I notice is that things move much slower down there.

I am from Massachusetts where people and things move at lightning speed.

But we all do wish we could slow down.

You obviously have no reading comprehension, I don't get how you got me being unpatriotic because I don't want an effin' nanny state or communist/socialist rule in the land of the free.

You realize that Eli Whitney had to memorize the plans for the cotton gin and sneak to America... right? The industrial revolution took so long to make it here first because the tech was restricted and THEN once the tech had made it over here, because slavery made not automating doable in some respects.
