Romney is tough to compete with when it comes to raising money. Obama is just trying to hold his ground but if Romney keeps up this pace then he's going to get way ahead in terms of fundraising. Here's an example of Romney's ability to make money (explained by none other than Jon Stewart! Don't worry left haters, he makes fun of Obama):
Well slight correction, now Obama is the President of the United States. But your point is still valid. And I hope everyone feels the same! Because a lot of people on this forum are criticizing Obama's constant fundraising without even realizing that he's just trying to keep up with Romney's pace. Which is clearly impossible, at least with Obama's current popularity. I just wanted to point out the reason why Obama is going crazy with fundraisers.
No one should doubt that the monied interests will favor Romney, who promotes policies that will further their interests.
Gee, what a shame that a guy who understands how money works should be in a position to become president. I know this saddens your little marxist mind, but guess what...you'll be better off in the long run.
Than neither was Bakunin. Marxists like to hide behind just how splintered their entire movement is. Its Loki's wager since it cannot be defined it cannot be discussed.
The vast majority of campaign contributions come in small checks from individuals. Obama has alienated everyone but the wackos.
Right. Bakunin and Marx influenced each other, but were very much opposed, just like Marx was opposed to Pierre-Joseph Proudhon. PJP was a libertarian socialist, Bakunin was an anarchist (or collectivist anarchist, to be more specific), and Marx founded his own philosophy out of the divide between the three friends. I am not a Marxist, I am a socialist. That said, who said it can't be defined or discussed?
Well sure. Because look how much better off we were with the last businessman you all put in office. Pass.
Uhh, do you know who Sheldon Adelson is? Or what Citizen's United is? This election is being financed MOSTLY by a handful of ridiculously wealthy people who can now give unlimited money through SuperPACs. It will be the most expensive election in history.
You did watch the clip, right? One guy says he can give Romney up to $100 million alone and then one foundation is promising $400 million by the time it's all over. Just two of the many examples why Obama is setting a new record when it comes to fundraisers.
It might be because the ploy of "I'll use public financing if you will" was used in the campaign against McCain and he can't use it again. Most people who rely on the leftist media might not remember President Obama lied through his teeth. But, once again, he's setting up his internet collection system to maximize donations from foreign countries. Another critical factor is that people learned that President Obama is loyal only to President Obama. That poor doctor in Pakistan knows what it feels like to trust President Obama. So, the people who paid him last time are reconsidering their strategies. The only people he's even tried to repay are the unions goons and even that supports stops dead at his doorstep. His promise to walk the picket line with them died in Wisconsin, didn't it. The last problem is that liberals think there is some rule that says only they can have money.
It was just fine when Obummer out-raised McCain wasn't it, but now the shoe is on the other foot and ya'll are cryin' the blues. Well dial 1-800-waa-waah.
Yeah, things were great under President Bush until the democrats took over congress and tried to "fix" things.
Obama needs huge money to compete with Romney because Republican Presidential candidate is collecting big amount of funds by addressing speeches in favor of Corporations. Recently, he said - "Corporations are people." Isn't it? I don't think so after reading this article: http://www.rosebudmag.com/truth-squ...-citizens-united-obama-corporations-elections
