Well, she HAPPENS to be Catholic and the Church opposes abortion, and yes the conservative part is a solid-gold bellringer for me. So what was your question again? It shouldn't be news I am pro-life and fully expect her to be as well.

Right? The anti-Catholic Dems will continue to spread fearmongering and suggest the Pope will be running the Court though....

Let's crank up leftist paranoia, shall we? (Cue the Jaws soundtrack.)

Why would a Catholic majority worry libs, unless it's to send Roe v Wade back to the states where it belongs? Followed by deciding that students are responsible for repaying student loans, not Uncle Sugar.
And those pipelines. Stop who's blocking them. And getting the Chinese out of our businesses.
Busy, busy, busy. I don't see us losing with her on the Court.

Okey-dokey. I am not Catholic. I am unfamiliar with their doctrine after Vatican II and therefore plead good old fashion Protestant ignorance --- but Francis is a commie. Why are our leftists worried?

I'm not a lib, and not at all opposed to a conservative court. My absolutely preference is they all believe in the constitution.

I'm not worried about Roe V. Wade, for the record.

I completely understand why a Catholic would prefer 9 Catholic judges. You don't need to explain it to me. I'm a recovering Catholic, myself.

All conservative, yes. Unless it is openly expressed in an opinion or bench statement, I disregard religion. Same for Ginsburg's being Jewish. I hated her politics but could never bring myself to attribute policies (or my dislike of them or of her) to religion. Barrett must be held to that same standard. Her Catholicism shouldn't matter but decisions should.

Circling back to packing the Court with conservatives. And the left doesn't try, on their side? Golly!

Absolutely. The Mayflower itself was not entirely all one faith and America has continued that ever since.

Huh? The court is going to have six Catholics, out of nine. I don't want a litmus test.

At least she's not from Harvard or Yale, so that's a big plus. I'm not a fan of that premise, either. It has nothing to do with religion.

I still like Lagoa better than ACB. She passed through Senate for appointment to the Florida circuit court with a 80-to-15 vote. Even Dianne Feinstein voted for her.

Bonus Points: Lagoa is also Catholic. lol
