Did it ever dawn on that unions aren't causing that? What is causing is insufficient demand for labor produced by excessive taxation and regulation

That makes no sense. Thatcherism also reduced tax (switching to regressive VAT) and introduced deregulation.

Also false. Thatcherism has been maintained since 1979.

No, just the bleedin obvious. Blair intensified deregulation. We then have had Tory regimes.

And absolute no return to worker rights either!

You don't get workers rights without more jobs being available. What regulations did he remove?

The vat is 20% The top tax rate is 45%. In essence of you are making more than a 100k a year your effective tax rate is nearly 50% a year and quite likely more. And you wonder why the only new businesses that ever start up in england are sandwich shops and not many of them.

Id say, you may have worked with a buncha job scared company men or gun-ho union men, slash your tires?..They were f$%kn with you..Iv heard similar threats union an nonunion...except coming from the non union side, its their excuse for me to break safety practice, work overtime free, etc. "Gotta make the man money!"
Union side, its you better not let them use your vehicle for free, and why you bring your private tools, that's dumb, etc. "Get home safe, his wallet isnt worth your life"

See, I guess my problem is I dont care about the other guys wallet, as long as I'm getting what i was agreed to.

And, what makes your perception reality? Usually they get to be business manager cause they know how to make money make more...They had that fancy stuff cause they may have just been just plain good with putting their money to work.
What your talking about is embezzlement, and its illegal...If you didn't snitch em out, your an accomplice.

You're talking about taxes on high income. Why do that? It's of course nonsensical when referring to a country with a low skilled equilibrium, extreme inequalities and a higher working poverty rate than the US.

You see, there is no common belief in economics because it is social analysis. Basically you said that economics is not for conservatives What you meant was you don't the beliefs and opinions of conservative economists. You continue to make my case for me. I'm remember a Chilean military dictator named Pinochet. I didn't know there was an economist with the same name. Is he related in some way?

They are not trying, they are succeeding.

By telling their base to look over here at issues they have no intention of fixing, with impossible solutions, while behind the scenes taking a massive subsidy from the American tax payer, and giving it out to their friends.
Friends, who hire the very illegals they promised were stealing your tax money to get free stuff, to complete work under the table....Paying them penny's.

Issuing massive deportations right down the border to cause...You guess it, a massive re-invasion..Pretty much pilling up a buncha people, behind a line..Dont work to good does it, even with a wall, with a maintenance tag of...What, another Tax funded subsidy to a republican friend who claims the whole wall needs to be rebuilt?

Nooo. its too hard to just go after the people with a paper trail that hire them would it?, Cause guess where that paper trail leads...Straight to Trump.

They are succeeding cause they feed people with anti union socialist propaganda BS..USA is already semi socialist! Its just socialist for the rich currently.

It is pluralist. Of course science also is pluralist.

There isn't really any such thing as conservative economist. Conservatism in economics just refers to weighting systems (with losses weighted more than gains).

It's as if you don't really know Friedman...

Your gobbledy gook is showing again, Mr. ism.

There are conservatives and liberals in every line of work.

True. I never met him. I never met Eistein either but I respect his success.

The term originates from religion. Sounds like you could brush up on your vocabulary.

But no coherent and consistent political economy for conservatism. Just factual.

    A socialist after all.

How? Are they forcing workers not to vote for union certification attempts? What have Republicans done.

What does that have to do with unions losing membership?

You think preventing illegals from coming into the country as cheap labor hurts unions and and doing so is killing unions? How does that work?

What on earth are you talking about "paper trail"? Of what?

You think collective bargaining makes us less socialist? I'm a capitalist and have negotiated my own contracts for over 40 years. But can you give me an example of this "anti-union socialist propaganda" the Republicans are engaged in?

Slash your tires in a heartbeat if you were lucky and they didn't drop the wrench from up top the scaffolding. There were two papermills here side by side. One of the mills went on strike, one of the issues was the union was refusing to let the workers be crossed trained on machines so the company could move the labor around as needed for orders or equipment outages. The company brought in other management from other mills to run machines and hired some contract labor. The union sent it's thugs in to slash the tires of the people who were working. Problem the thugs got confused and slashed the ties of union workers in the mill next door's parking lot. The company NOT the union paid to have the tires all fixed or replaced for those other company workers and then had to hire a local tire company to patrol their parking lot with instructions to just fix or replace any tire that appeared damaged.

So you have no problem with the union screwing over it's members to protect the business managers own self interest. It was none of my business, not my union, the union members elected and supported them, they get what they deserve. Why should I put my job and life at stake, you think that union would have let get away with going to the coppers or something? It's amazing you have this opinion that unions are just benevolent organizations run by men of upstanding character and ethics

Support policy's with end results benefiting the rich from investing into their very business.

Supporting policy's where it is profitable to replace the labor force.

This question, coming from this bullet point...."Issuing massive deportations right down the border to cause...You guess it, a massive re-invasion..Pretty much pilling up a buncha people, behind a line..Dont work to good does it, even with a wall, with a maintenance tag of...What, another Tax funded subsidy to a republican friend who claims the whole wall needs to be rebuilt?"

You assigned me a point I never made, then asked me a question....Nice try.

You must have ment the last 10 words of that lil snip-it.."Cause guess where that paper trail leads...Straight to Trump."
Yea the paper trail that leads to him hiring, and helping to promote the market that makes it attractive to bring in illegals, for Red state rural Industry.

I'm me and have negotiated my own contracts as well, and have found the best that fit my agenda to be union.

The anti union socialist propaganda, come from people who vote republican yet fail to support policy that would insure they can earn a living wage in their area, which should be at least 4x their monthly rent, mortgage..Or in the instance they have no such obligations....The median, of those around them.

People who voted for Trump, Romney, and Reagan.

Sorry that happened. Would you be sorry to know others Non-union stories for the horrors owners do to their employees before union representation was invited, and accepted?

I do have a problem with that...If Managers self interest does not carry the rest of the members with them. It should be self sacrificing, to screw over their own members...And in most cases is.

Quit, work for someone else, put the manager out of business. I'm talking where people are forced to join a union and how when given a choice workers these days by far say no union.

How is that killing unions and what policies are you talking about, they have just passed policies that make it more inviting to invest in one's business, the Democrats want to reverse that.

Like what and can you give me an example of a company that replaced it's labor force because of these policies?

What has that got to do with unions losing members and votes?

Then what was your point in bringing it up?

What paper trail, he's the one trying to stop the illegal labor you are making no sense.

Great don't force me to do it or the majority of the labor force who rejects it.

Your wage should only be what you are worth to the employer for that job and if you are relying on the government to force someone to pay you more than that is worth they not doing yourself any favors, go get marketable skills that makes your labor WORTH that much and more. Make yourself into an employee who is WORTH tha much and more.

I didn't ask you about names of people

But can you give me an example of this "anti-union socialist propaganda" the Republicans are engaged in?

In that case the unions succeeded, and are no longer of use...Must have got a county/state memorandum placed.

It's actually Stockholm Syndrome. The American worker has been brainwashed by his employer into believing that unions are bad. We Americans are the battered spouse in denial; workers in other developed nations have so many rights and freedoms compared to us, and yet we feel grateful to have our peanuts.
