“We have terrorists coming through the southern border because they find that’s probably the easiest place to come through. They drive right in and they make a left,” Trump said recently in a Rose Garden news conference.

Here is what his own state department said. “The U.S. southern border remains vulnerable to potential terrorist transit, although terrorist groups likely seek other means of trying to enter the United States.”

I challenge anyone to find one terrorist act in the United States committed by a terrorist from any Muslim country after 9/11.

Don't look too hard. There aren't any.

But Trump fans continue to believe Trump's lies and B.S.

The reason some folks "support Trump because" is because either they have a vested monetary interest in a charlatan or, they just aren't very bright. Trump's criminal pasts and activities are legion and well documented. That explains the first group of fans - he gets away with what I wish I could.

The second group is a bit more odious, they love him because he displays the thuggish, boorish, ignorant, hateful and bigoted behavior that mirrors the effluent sloshing around inside their heads every day. Oh, if only we had the guts to say what our orange god says every day. We'd tell those GD liberals, Mexicans, LGBT's, Muslims, brown and black people what we really think.

To a man, woman or whatever, they tout, celebrate, and glorify their behavior under a hypocritical mask of patriotism, whiteness, christianity, or (laughably) intellect supplied by Trump, Hannity, and FOX.

Unfortunately, we are way past the historical point of self-destruction. Every society that has ever attained to such prosperity has gone the way we're going. The surprising thing is just how far we've gotten. Perhaps someday enough time will pass that we can blame it on the "sea peoples"; but until then, we will go down with all of the other decadent societies who produced a generation that was sincerely left to believe that everyone can live at the expense of everyone else.

Yes, this has been a very bad day for die hard Trump haters. ;-)

"WASHINGTON – Amid signs that special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into Russian election interference may be near its conclusion, a new USA TODAY/Suffolk University Poll finds that trust in Mueller has eroded and half of Americans agree with President Donald Trump's contention that he has been the victim of a "witch hunt."

Support for the House of Representatives to seriously consider impeaching the president has dropped since last October by 10 percentage points, to 28 percent."
USA TODAY, Poll: Half of Americans say Trump is victim of a 'witch hunt' as trust in Mueller erodes, By Susan Page and Deborah Barfield Berry, March 18, 2019 | Updated 8:00 p.m. ET March 18, 2019.

Here is a quote from a professor in Scotland- which is about 200 years old, and fit the scenario perfectly. Note that our democracy is now about 250 years old:

“A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world's greatest civilizations has been 200 years. These nations have progressed through this sequence: From bondage to spiritual faith; From spiritual faith to great courage; From courage to liberty; From liberty to abundance; From abundance to selfishness; From selfishness to apathy; From apathy to dependence; From dependence back into bondage.”

    Alexander Fraser Tytler

Right now- our democrats and left are promoting dependency....
Meaning that without a serious change of attitude and course, they would lead us back to bondage.

Tax rates are at near historic lows and have been for decades.

MAGA - Bring back the 92% tax rate on the rich that made America great.

Why do you feel taxing 'others' at higher rates, who by the way, pay the majority of the taxes with the least use of support programs it funds, to allow those who pay the least into the societal pool, and have the highest usage numbers, an easy ride?

Skin in the game, perhaps pound for pound?

So there will be more money for the free stuff that he dependent people think are owed to them right?
I mean, my god- there are even people suggesting that if you won't work, you shouldn't get paid.
The country is indeed going to hell when there are so many people in need of more tattoos, more drugs, more free stuff, and have no time left for actually supporting themselves....

Bring back the idea that if you don't work, you don't eat. That will make America great again, because it teaches people that they are responsible for themselves.
Radical idea to many, I know- but that is indeed what made the nation what it is.
Not sissies, not whiners and crybabies- working, thinking, men and women of true character that respected each other.

There was a similar thread like this a short while ago.

I still find it strange that Trump supporters are so comfortable with "we".

Does make it seem a bit cult-ish.

Regarding his imperfections, it seemed clear Trump supporters didn't pretend to care any more about ethics and values right from the start. I still find it hypocritical though, when they judge others all the time in that regard.

I do hope that the "we" you speak of has shrunk down to useless numbers. I think the rest of the "we" in this country are pretty convinced that he is simply an unfit nut job.

I look skeptically forward to what Mueller will be releasing, whenever that day comes.

I'm skeptical because my trust, like what people indicated in the poll, is slight, given what has been taking place, and what has been revealed. I fear that what will be missing will be the real scandal, that being the deep state and the corrupt in our Federal Agencies.

The understanding of history often presents as prescience.
The ignorance of history often presents as petulance.

Do you think that we will ever retake our republic from the maw of democracy?
Do you think that we will ever get our leviathan back into its constitutional box?

It will take honest special prosecutors and several grand juries to clean up the massive corruption in the Deep State.

"In 2011, Greenwald published a book whose title—“With Liberty and Justice for Some: How the Law Is Used to Destroy Equality and Protect the Powerful”—could serve as a headline for much of what he had written in the previous six years. He had given up a career as a litigator in New York, moved to Brazil, and started to write, first as a blogger and then as a columnist for Salon. In the book’s first chapter, he wrote, “It has become a virtual consensus among the elites that their members are so indispensable to the running of American society that vesting them with immunity from prosecution—even for the most egregious crimes—is not only in their interest but in our interest, too.”
THE NEW YORKER, "Glenn Greenwald, the Bane of Their Resistance
A leftist journalist’s bruising crusade against establishment Democrats—and their Russia obsession." By Ian Parker, September 3, 2018 Issue.

Those are the right questions we must ask. As a nation reflects the character of it's people the real answer depends on them- how many are willing to step up to the plate and accept full responsibility for themselves?
People who do, and who know the power that comes with being your own man and having self-respect, would never allow a government to become their master and keeper.
We obviously have raised a lot of people over the last few generation who lack those qualities- who not only fail to reject being under the control of government, but seek it thinking they will thereby avoid having to have and be responsible for that power.

I know this- if they fail to change, the consequences will be incredibly devastating to their families of the future- their grandchildren and great-grandchildren will be the ones in bondage.... and those of today will be the people who brought that upon them. A terrible, terrible legacy; left by irresponsible people too weak to stand on their own two feet- big children who failed to grow into responsible, mature adults, and instead gave the future of their own descendants away . Far better to leave them nothing than to leave such a curse on them all.

Because he gives the best Americans what they craved.A better America.
More jobs than one could shake a stick at.Not more P.C. crapola.
Ridding us of harmful Government rules & regulations that cripple business
and cost average americans much more in higher energy cost and living
expenses.Plus putting this " Corrupted " Free Press and Mainstream media in their
place.Since when has the average American had to endure hourly attacks on
the character of good americans for just being americans.Since Obama took
the Oval Office.Where even the cops were told they " acted stupidly ".
    Plus - Occupy Wall Street - and - BlackLivesMatter - then - Antifa -.
All troublemakers like Obama was when being an ACORN instructor
in Chicago.Americans want to go back to the good old days of Disneyland
and good baseball, and football. Not some media version of what we must come
to acknowledge.Like Global Warming and ending Marriage as an Instutition.
Where mention of God and Faith is considered in poor taste.
One man ... Donald Trump has done more to clean out the Obama years
infestation. Now we have to steady the ship and unravel Obama's Deep State.

    This is false, as usual.

Trump started the attacks. That is not in dispute.

Trump's corruption ,self dealing, disloyalty and incompetence are not in dispute either.

    But keep cheering.

Now that you Trumpsters have all be abandoned even the pretense of making an honest argument, you're left with this sort of empty self righteous screed, based on lies. And you reached into the right wing wayback machine to find slogans and bogey men to toss out there.

I noted in another thread that a lot of the Democratic candidates are talking about the future, while the Trump crowd wallows in false nostalgia for an imaginary past.

"Americans want to go back to the good old days of Disneyland
    and good baseball,and football."

    Thanks for making my point!

And that is reflected in the fact that the nation elected the equivilant of Caligula's Horse, and that a substantial minority of Americans have put that horse on a pedistal and worship it.

    Rush Limbaugh { The most popular Talk Radio host in the U.S. }
spent a good deal of time today explaining what's he's just learned.
That the entire Mueller " witchhunt " was entirely staged and put into
place { not merely for an Insurance Policy } but to make sure no one
like a Donald Trump, ever again thinks they can Drain the Swamp.
Especially if they win the Presidency.
Citing some specifics as to how groups have formed and have
the ability to get IRS clearance as to organize and file their members.
It was not known until Limbaugh reported today how Hollywood
big mouth liberal Rob Reiner has put huge sums of money into a
group that is acting like Media Matters does.Media Matters has no business
    having a 501{c}{3} tax exempt status.Nor should George Soros,acting
under his son's name { Alexander Soros }.
Reiner is part of a group of wealthy individuals who started a
place where they can spread false info on a person and make sure the
Press and MSM pass it around. That is how Trump was demonized with this
Faux Russian Collusion crap.Call it a 5th Column or whatever.
But it's very real and very troubling. And Pols like Adam Schiff are a big
part of it.As was James Comey and probably Jim Brennan.
What is being done to President Trump is exactly what I have
been warning about. It's a version of Stalinism.

    Trump started the attacks?

Such a claim is so outrageous it is hard to find words to reply with.

Shall I post hundreds of video's documenting the left's actions?

    No, I don't think so.

The left will be reaping what it sows.
