True enough but incompetent doctors aren't going to save many lives and may well end some prematurely.

I it is really hard to understand why government cap on number of doctors is necessary. If you do not allow doctors to practice how you they get to the market. You seems to work for the medical cartel and trying to protect their interests.

But, why private cartel decides competency? And why is a cap?
I do not see a lot of competent doctors by the way.
Lets say you have 1000 doctors that are fully qualified, but since you have an artificial cap of 500, people will not be able to access to other 500 doctors. It looks like the only reason to limit people's access to health care is to allow doctor to buy five cars instead of two.

    But you have a cap.
How in the world people get an access to those qualified doctors that you does not want to practice?
You prefer to kill people by saving them form too many doctors.
    You are good man.

You have no idea what you are talking about that is clear. There is not now nor has there ever been a government cap on training doctors nor should there be. The only cap is the number of qualified applicants the number of medical schools and the number of teaching hospitals.

    Nice observation.

Being a self-identified Republican from my former great state of California, this brings a question to mind; how will you vote, Sandy?

I know you won't vote for Trump. But would you really be willing to vote for someone like Lizzy?

Fortunately (or unfortunately) your vote in California really won't matter, so you can go third party without a sense of guilt.

But what of those Republicans in toss-up states? What would you advise them to do?

Why you are arguing against known, well documented fact?
    OK, I have got it
    You can't stand the truth.
You want people die because doctors need third house and fifth Mercedes.

Yea but general population plus illegals plus number of seniors has grown at a much faster rate.
The point is that the government cap on the number of providers gives unprecedented price gouging leverage to medical cartel.

But that's not a cap....the number atually went up. All that Clinton era law did was deal with the amount of HHS spending subsizding cost.

Moreover, we are seeing a much, and very fast growth rate of PAs, which help keep cost down, as they are cheaper to see then a MD, and for much more common issues: https://www.bls.gov/ooh/healthcare/physician-assistants.htm

You are the one who has no idea - not the poster you are responding to. The medical college restricts the number of entrants by putting in artificially high barriers to entry which lowers the number of "qualified" applicants.

The Dims will have to set up death panels for the old people. When this happens it will be ironic since for years libs have scared old people by claiming Republicans want to take away their Social Security.

Cap means cap, the number of providers on the market federal government allows. They may issue more permits or less, the point is that they control supply. The sole purpose of doing that is to keep barriers and cost very high.

So when people vote they have to make choice between socialism and corporate feudalism (essentially slavery).
I think socialism is much better and more human in nature.

I'm a California Republican, too, and I have no idea how I will vote. If Warren is nominated, and Trump is the GOP nominee, everyone of my principles will be violated.

It is a citizen's obligation to vote. I may not.

    I won't vote for a socialist.

    I won't vote for Trump.

Voting for a third party is much like no vote at all, worthless.

So, there you have it. How can I recommend to others how they should vote if I don't know myself?

I pray Warren is not nominated. If she is, I predict another four years of Trump. The country is not ready for a socialist President, and another four years of Trump could be disastrous. Can you imagine giving this idiot the mandate of reelection?

I noticed you haven't joined me on any of my threads. Are you agreeing with me? Of course, that could be asked of most Trump supporters.

Any way you slice it, it is still artificial limit with only one purpose to jack-up the prices. Terminology does not matter.
But many people do not understand where the root cause of the problem so they continue to vote for people who take away their health care.

Middle class taxes are gonna go up anyway. Trump's tax cuts are gonna expire for the middle class, and small businesses. The only ones scheduled to remain in place after 2020 are the corporate cuts and those going to the top brackets.

Interestingly, Pete B seems to have appeal across party lines. I don't know a lot about him yet but my insanely righty friend has been saying that even his more extreme righty friends like Pete B. He is third in money and seems to be gaining momentum. Right now, he is looking a lot like a breakout candidate.

Most of my friend's buddies are former soldiers. Pete B served in Afghanistan. That may help offset his gay marriage stigma,

As I've said many times, I'm not a Trump guy. Voted for Johnson in 2016, but I'm thankful Hillary wasn't elected.

I've cut back on my forum time, so I haven't visited your threads haha. And of course I don't agree with you; as I've said, knuckleheadness and drama aside, I'm pleased at Trump's judicial picks and his undoing Obama's executive orders. Hillary would have been a stake in the heart for property and gun rights and individual freedom, as would Lizzy or Bernie or Kamala or any of the other leftists who are viable Democratic Party candidates....

I don't think Americans are ready for a gay President right now, but Buttigieg would make a great President. However, I doubt he will be nominated.

Remember what I said about Warren. If she is nominated, Trump wins. Americans are not ready for a socialist President, either.
