    Until it has been proven in a court of law he is not a pedophile.

    Regardless of party affiliation.

    But I guess the whole "proved beyond a reasonable doubt" is just a "legal technicality" to you right?

    I'm not you idiot. But you (and others) are way too quick to believe the worst about a person you already detest. I would wager good money that if he was a pro abortion/pro gay rights liberal agnostic liberal Democrat that you would be among the first screaming for "presumption of innocence" and "due process".

    That's insane! A 32 year old courting a 14 year old is pedophilia, I don't care what decade you're in.

    80s were my later college and first professional years and I survived just fine. I was in my 20s and never occurred to me to court a 14 year-old child. My wife is 7 years younger than me, but she was 22 when I met her.

    You seem to have experienced a strange upbringing. What, according to you, did "pedophilia" mean in 1979?

    I don't quite understand this new puritan attitude that's been going on, since at least Bill and Monica. Now we've got this weinstein dude, the weiner, trump grabbing crotches, tiger woods and his entourage of swedish groupies, etc.etc. etc.

    I wonder what's going to happen when women start saying that they were 15 when they were sexually assaulted by James Hetfield back in 1985 backstage at a metallica concert. Will the puritans be aghast when they learn about the concept of groupies? They obviously never heard of a casting couch until a few weeks ago, so this might come as quite a shock.

    Next thing you know, they'll be shocked to learn that there are places called "brothels" where young women are routinely taken advantage of by strange men for mere money.

    The very second a 32 year old makes improper advances to a 14-year old it's pedophilia.

    "Proven beyond a reasonable doubt" is a legal concept. This is a moral issue. And party affiliation might not have to do with the legal aspects, but it's pretty obvious that, to you, it's definitive in the moral sense.

    It says a lot about your moral priorities. It says that you place partisanship before morality.

    But you shouldn't take that as a complete negative. It would be even worse if this had to be explained by something other than partisanship.
