Good grief, what a diatribe. Lemme start with the state ID requirements.

I've lived and voted in three states: California, New York, and Colorado. In all three, voter registration is handled through the DMV primarily, with local USPS offices and sometimes public libraries for those who don't drive (of which there are many in NYC, because who needs a car there?). In all three states, some form of identification is required, and for elderly people who have never had a driver's license or a state ID card, identification often consists of things like Social Security cards, birth certificates, or in some cases just a signed affadavit that you are who you claim to be, often accompanied by some piece of official mail like a utility bill that is addressed to you.

If that isn't good enough for you, what would be? I asked you to descibe a suitable voter ID process, and you failed to do so, attacking those who disagree with Texas' new laws instead.

I completely agree with that last statement. I find people who seek positions of power over others to be suspect.
