I don`t know anything about the Catholic church, I have no idea what you are on about.

To actually believe in a paralel between the muslim cartoon idiotics, and flag burning, one requires.
An imagination the size of Disney Land.
An intelect the size of that of an alcoholic amoeba.
A burning belief that church should control state.

Thankfully, there are enough Australians with pride in their country to compensate for the few yellow door mats. Soft conditions breed weakness.

    yellow door mats?
I hope that is not meant to be a cheap racist analogy towards our Asian neighbours, because the last thing on the planet I can't stand is true blue Aussie being racists.......

Heh. I missed OZ day. For some reason it isn't celebrated here, which IMHO is a shame.

I'm an American and I've traveled quite a bit, including to Australia; Melbourne to be exact. I was there for about a month and a half for work and completely enjoyed my stay there. I got a chance to explore the culture, the people, and the land and there isn't anything I disliked about Australia and a whole lot I did like.

The best way I found to describe Australia is that it is very much like America as long as you didn't look TOO close. If you look TOO close, you find all these little differences that don't detract from Australia but give it its own unique character and flair.

WAIT! I just remembered something I really did not like about Australia, but it gave me lots of ammo for practical jokes upon my return. Musk life savers. WTF!!!! It is like eating a piece of cologne candy! I brought ten rolls home with me much to the dismay of co-workers and friends.

On the other hand, Australia has Violet Crumble which I found very addictive.

Australia, I salute you! I look forward to returning some day with my wife for vacation. I'll try to give you some amount of warning.

    Mmmm, Musk Lifesavers are lovely.

Violet Crumbles are good too, and many visitors seem to love our Tim Tam biscuits.

Well I have lived in Australia all my life, nearly 60 years. If only I had known that to be a "True Blue" Aussie I needed to fly a half dozen, made in china, plastic flags to make me a true Aussie I would have .... NOT

Try dealing with some facts during the next 60 years. I never said anything remotely resembling "to be a "True Blue" Aussie I needed to fly a half dozen, made in china, plastic flags to make me a true Aussie".

The point I`ve been trying to make is. WTF is wrong with people who hate to see the flag displayed? To burn the flag, or to approve of the burning of one`s country`s flag is p1ss weak.

G`day Patriot, good to see that you`ve been to Melbourne, although it`s not really part of Australia, we tried to give it to New Zealand, to replace Christchurch, but they don`t want it either, too many Kiwis, so nobody really knows where it belongs now. Probably out in the middle of Bass Straight somewhere. To see the real Australia, you need to get out of the cities.

As to Lifesavers, two Sydney blokes were once ahving a conversation & one mentioned that he had a sore throat. The other one said "when I get a sore throat, I just suck on a Lifesaver", the bloke with the sore throat said "that`s alright for you, you live near the beach".

Why don't you go back where your anchestors (I assume in handcuffs) arrived from and leave Australia to a modern, tolerant and real multiculturall society?

Another inanely profound post. Bizarre how sheeple can fall for the AGW theory with no confirmed inteligence, while closing their minds to the overwhealming historical, and present evidence of the potential of multiculturalism to bring horror to any country. Simple folks, simple minds.

    okay,
despite your continuous drippings, have you ever looked around when fights broke out?
The fights I watched in my beloved WA, were either started by true blue or Abos, hardly ever by our late arrivals, irrelevant of their origin or skin colour, and that is a fact!
We should be happy about people arriving from other nations, it can only become more peaceful in our future....................................................
The real problem however are people like you, who deny the truth, to protect the lows we call our own.

Some strong bigotry & racism there. I suppose you`d like to see Australians bred down to becoming cowards who like to watch.

Kindly show where bogans are allowed to paste an Australian flag wherever they wish and totally disregard flag protocol. Still too gutless to answer?

No the question is just too silly. Can`t you see the absurdity of trying to compare flag display, with flag burning?:trout:

I object to people burning my flag, but don`t mind seeing the flag proudly displayed. If that`s hopeless, I`m hopeless.

Yes I agree. Burning the Australian flag is in principle making an assault on the nation. Australians who do such a thing are just simple minded ********s and any Australian who supports the burning of our flag is also just a simple minded ********.
Ever since you could buy one I have owned an Australian flag T-shirt. I even try not to get them dirty, I have always kept them as 'good' T-shirts.

What absolute nonsense. Where do you people come up with this garbage?
Watching too many American TV shows is my guess.

Come on, tell us what you really think.

Your 'good' T-shirts, ... nice. Just for weddings and such, hey?
I hope you wear your 'good' shoes too.

Disregarding flag protocol is disrespect, do you not understand this? Still waiting for your answer to this question, Kindly show where bogans are allowed to paste an Australian flag wherever they wish and totally disregard flag protocol.

I dunno, trying to be symbolic by burning a symbol means you'd be attacking the things which the flag symbolizes in entirety, and not the piece of material itself or only certain unspecified aspects of what it represents. So logically we're left with that it must be a narrow minded person might only have a capability to have a narrow understanding of what symbology a national flag has.... or is just an ar#($le stirring 5$%t up. How can burning a national flag mean anything other then the destruction of the nation and/or its values and assets.

Its only a flag if its representing something official. A picture or image of a flag does not mean it is being used as a flag.
