I really don't want to use their arguments, but it serves to point out the hypocrisy: Immensely. They'd also point out they wouldn't do it, which is true. We'd be subservient to Europe/China without complaint, there'd be no investigations or relevations of any sort of political corruption, so it'd be okay.

We'd go back to arguing abstract political problems with no idea or ability to solve them because of aforementioned corrupt elements in the government. There is only one argument in favor of the "status quo" at this point and that's that the corruption has not affected civilian life.

But as we see with the Nunes targeting and the direct targeting of US Persons private information, that lone difference between us and third world despot countries is quickly fading.
