But if he or Donald Trump were to team up with a well known near death experiencer....... the most bigoted of G. O. P. supporters would soon confront information that has the potential to transform their thinking.........and America could become less divided.......

Which GOP leader would be most likely to protect the 2 million Gay men in Uganda?
    ....

Thank you immensely for these highly informative articles Serfin'USA!

It is the most well informed Americans that I am seeking to have as Dannion Brinkley's core of supporters.

Because Dannion is himself a near death experiencer he can immediately understand the deep wisdom in the following statements by another near death experiencer. These few paragraphs have the potential to reform the most bigoted of G. O. P. voters....... which will greatly decrease the animosity that many Republicans and Democrats have for each other.

No, that is not the way it works at all.

Did we become less divided under Bush - as the GOP and Bush claimed would be accomplished? Absolutely not.

The catch is that the divide isn't over what is known, but over how to respond.

The reason the GOP did not work on health care had nothing to do with them not knowing how many were going bankrupt due to having no access to health care coverage, how many were being dumped by insurance companies when they got sick, etc. It wasn't lack of data.

We can see this divide in response preferences in the economy, where we all knew how bad it was, but where the GOP preference was their standard "trickle down" solution of saving the wealthy on the assumption that the rest would be saved by the wealthy doing things and buying things with their money. So, tax cuts sent most dollars to the wealthy and proposals to cut payroll tax were refused.

We could go on and on.

Handing our government to incompetents in order to demonstrate their lack of ability makes no more sense than handing the family checkbook to a complaining son or daughter and saying, "Here. You try!"

You have good points here................ One of the massive problems in the G. O. P. is their denial of the realities of history. Very few influential Republicans will speak openly about how President Lincoln saved American taxpayers FOUR BILLION dollars in interest payments........ which has massive implications when it comes to financing something along the idea of Romney Care...... or Obama Care..... or whatever??!

President Lincoln saved taxpayers four billion dollars...how can we do this in 2013?
I was given a copy of this article in 1994.

After reading this article those lectures from Economics 101, 212 and Economic History sure took on a whole new level of importance.

OK, so how do we apply this information in 2013 without scaring the guys on Wallstreet, who have a tendency to go out on their balconies and jump, if investors get scared....which actually could happen even if government did something intelligent!!!!!???????

I can kind of understand why you might tend to consider that to be a problem........... but it is also something of an asset as well.

There is an ancient Chinese proverb that..............."an uncivilized man......... his wife fears him............. a civilized man............ fears his wife?!"

I believe that The Donald, has given Mitt, the fuel he needs to convince Mrs. Romney
... to endure another Gruelling Presidential campaign?!
