    No, it is false, and more because we've seen usually all the contrary, when government don't mantain a price, this price thanks to the market normally is increased over the normal and standard.

    I think it would be far better to simply have welfare recipients work for their check through community service projects. Affordabable public daycare centers could be made available for the toddlers by staffing them with other welfare recipients.

    There is always plenty of work that needs to be done in welfare class communities. It is foolish (and socially degenerative) for the State to provide public assistance without requiring anything in return.

    Name one instance in which price fixing has not resulted in disaster. Do you remember when Hawaii tried to fix the price of gas 3 years ago? Several gas stations (think small business, families, etc) went out of business.
